Cowboys fired Rob Ryan today.:thumbsup2 Maybe the Ryan brothers can work together for the NYJ. That would pretty much lock up the AFC East in New England for another 5 years.:lmao::lmao:

That would be quite entertaining, having them together on the same team.

Grew up in Ktown, and went to UTK for grad school.

That's cool, most of my family went to UT and I travelled to Ktown a lot when I worked for a calypso band

As a Patriots fan I would welcome more Ryans and Tebows on the NYJ

I would fault you for not being a titans fan but lets be real, if I lived north I would switch teams too haha

My dad always lived in CT, so most of my childhood I cheered for a crappy Pat's team. Have had season tix for 19 years.

Packing right now and I can't find the Damn battery charger for the camera. The kid has her camera but would rather use mine. May have to stop at Best Buy to get a replacement.

I grew up a falcons fan, switched when oilers moved here, always a titans fan but I'm glad I can root for the falcons this weekend

Big basketball win for DS tonight. Came from behind in the last shift to take a 39-38 win. The lead through the first half but had a bad 3rd quarter to fall behind by 6 but held them to 4 points in the last quarter.

Hey Norm, since your DD swims, is it normal for me to taste chlorine hours after being at a pool but not getting in it?

I've been trying to get BOG TS res for our march trip, looks very slim so we will be doing QS, we arnt doing the DP this time so it's prob best our only TS is CP for breakfast, CM for breakfast the next day and OHana for our last dinner

Sounds good.

Indoor chlorine pool aftertaste. It can linger.

.
Also, are there many NFL junkies in this crowd? I'm a UT Volunteers fan, so I have abandoned college sports until further notice...

Yup. There are even some Pats fans.

Congrats to him on the game.

UL will probably blow them out in the second half anyway.

Yup. Second half blowout.

I guess I should be inventorying some Poland springs or something right now.

We are missing 12 cases of shrimp, anyone know where it is?

This is too easy... I like this app
It does make keeping up easier when you're running in circles all day.

I've been praying and thinking about the things I desire to teach my children a lot recently. I think I'm frustrated by the number of rules we've had to create thinking that if they had the right basis for their behavior we'd need fewer rules. DW and I wound up boiling down everything to 3 values we want our family to stick too.

1. Love God
2. Love Others
3. Do your best.

This third value has us echo'ing a shortened version of Bill and Ted's Slogan to each other a lot. "Be Excellent".

I've been thinking about this a lot and I'm curious if you guys had to boil it down to 3 things what values would you want your kids to pick up?
I've been working on something similar with my kids. I'm not a big organized religion guy but I try teaching the kids a lot of the basic tenants like being honest, love thy neighbor, and but in your best effort.

Welcome. Die hard Vikings fan here. Yes I like pain and misery.

Ok, good to know, I get to look forward to that every Wednesday :)
You get used to it.

If you run the universe, can't you just hire someone to do it for you?
Hey just because your run the universe doesn't mean you need to go wild spending on hiring someone. You could probably get a couple unpaid interns.

Okay Disney Dads, where's the best place for good Dad chow in Magic Kingdom. I booked my family for Liberty Tree, as I recall it being good comfort food. I'm open to better options, especially if they are quick service. This used to be a double win when it was a character meal in addition to some home-style food.

Mark
People have mentioned most of the options we really like. Columbia harbor house is a favorite as well as tomorrowland terrace( when it's open). I'm also really exited to try the fried chicken and waffle sandwich at sleepy hollow and the pork shank at gaston's.

Ohana is a great farewell to Disney dinner.

We're finishing up packing here too. We're 12 hours away from there now.

Thanks for the good advice guys, I think we'll just shoot for BoG QS at MK this year.

It seems like this crew is heavy on the Disney experience,so I'm hoping one of you have done Disney's Family Magic Tour at MK. We've been to WDW enough times that I'd like something a little different, but not the "see man behind the curtain" stuff. If anyone has tried it, I'd love to get your take on the value of it.

Also, are there many NFL junkies in this crowd? I'm a UT Volunteers fan, so I have abandoned college sports until further notice...

Florida Gator here but I will answer your question anyway. We did the tour years ago but from what I understand it hasn't changed much. No behind the scenes stuff. They take you on a scavenger hunt to foil a Disney villain (ours was Hook). They take you through the MK and you and the kids do silly things. As an example, we "snuck" up to Pirates and yelled, "Captain Hook is a Dirty Bird" and then all ran away. At the end we met up with Pan and he took us on his ride.

Fun tour. A lot of walking in the sun though. The kids need to want to be a little silly. They encourage parents to do the same but will not beat you if you don't.

We're finishing up packing here too. We're 12 hours away from there now.

We drop the dogs off at the vet around 8:30, load the car and head up. Should arrive around 1-2, cheek in at BWV and go get the cheetah's packet at WWoS. Can't wait to get out of here.

We are heading to the expo as soon as we land. We've always been on Friday afternoon and by then it's usually packed. Hopefully it'll be less crowded on Thursday morning.
