Wednesday, I didn't get to shoot it, ownage.

Thanks everyone for the input. I sold it for $500. In the end, I figured it was better to save up the money for a vehicle I really wanted. Plus, we still have two cars to make it through. My only regret was that I didn't get to shoot it.

Bad news Tuesday ownage.

When the timing belt broke and busted the water pump, the engine over heated and blew the head gasket. That is another $1300 on top of the $450 for the water pump. I told him I'd think about it. I'm not worried about an upsale, as this is not his usual business practice, but the car is only worth about $2700. Do I fix it and hope to get another 5 years our of it? Or, try to sell it as is?

I missed a couple of days there. Norm you ended up better off. If your engine over heated then it was the pump went out and took the belt with it. When the timing belt fails the engine stops right there because the valves stop moving. If you had had the head repaired when he pulled it you would have had at least one probably 2 bent valves (bout $200 each), also you may have had damage to the piston heads ($1000 and up). Plus any damage the heat did before it died.
Your mechanic should have checked the heads before quoting you on the pump, but you ended up lucking out.

I always laugh when we are in the world in January and we are in the pool and the guards are wearing a hat and mitts.

Yeah, I've been watching the last few years, but I just couldn't bring myself to waste my time with it this year. Virtually every one of the "fan favorites" is a contestant I deplore.

I definitely didn't need to see Brandon back. They seriously need to ban anyone with the last name "Hantz" from ever being on TV again. I thought maybe after the situation on Big Brother last year they might have figured that one out.

I saw the episode last night... and Phillip is definitely Phillip, but his whole idea of trying to be a Boston Rob disciple is just ridiculous. He's nowhere near as smart and doesn't have the personality for it.

I just found out one of my neighbors is going to be speaking to the US Senate Committeen Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry today at 9:30. She and her husband farm, and she is a regional supervisor for a crop insurance company. She is speaking about the drought we had this summer.

No worries John - I actually forgot I was getting a day off this week....so being off today, I was able to work on some designs that Adam allowed me access to.

So I was already able to put something together. But I appreciate your help!

I am glad you were able to work on your designs, since I can't seem to find what I did with mine.

I guess I may have to make some new ones for our Thanksgiving trip. But that is fine with me - I love being creative!
