DIS Dads DDC XXVI: They all went to the DDCC and all we got was this Lousy Thread!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

Closest DW could get was one that mentioned technical difficulties...

Wonder if work went down too? That'd be hilarious.

I wonder what it would cost Rogers if EVERY single customer called up for a Internet Credit for the day.

$2.00 x 10,000,000 customers.

Maybe that would ensure a better fail over backbone.

I know....I had to get my news info via the TV...bleh

Anyway, I was looking at their website yesterday and they listed out the conference dates and locations for the next 5 years or so. This same weekend in 2016 will be Orlando, FL. Might I actually be able to essentially get my family to a future DDCC for very little out of pocket expense??? :scratchin

I like the way you think!:thumbsup2

Wow... these threads move rather fast. Guess I should spend more time here and less doing work so I can stay current :)

There you are nemie. And blathering about the Vikings no less. Woot. Hope your holidays were good. Bye nemie
Morning nemie. Christmas and New year's were crazy for me but things have settled down so I can finally post more. Our holidays were good. Hope yours were too.

It really goes in waves. I think those of us not going to the convention this weekend are hanging out here in solidarity instead.

Okay Disney Dads, where's the best place for good Dad chow in Magic Kingdom. I booked my family for Liberty Tree, as I recall it being good comfort food. I'm open to better options, especially if they are quick service. This used to be a double win when it was a character meal in addition to some home-style food.

Mark

People have mentioned most of the options we really like. Columbia harbor house is a favorite as well as tomorrowland terrace( when it's open). I'm also really exited to try the fried chicken and waffle sandwich at sleepy hollow and the pork shank at gaston's.

I think I may drop the Liberty Tree ADR and go Columbia Harbour House on Sunday instead. I've always just walked right by it but this time I'll give it a shot.

WHAT CAN'T DIS?????

It's all Roger's fault...

‘Morning all…

That makes me a Lawyer, Doctor, Accountant, IT specialist, and many other professions...

I need a raise!

You control the Universe…
You don’t need money at all.

I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but while I wasn't able to swing the DDCC, I am attending another conference this weekend in Nashville, TN at the Opryland hotel. This is one won't cost me anything, which is why I'll be going there. :thumbsup2 The conference is for a non-profit Ag organization that I work with, and I have the option to go every year, but this is the first one I've ever attended.

Very cool. Congrats on the free travel and enjoy the time in Nashville.
Hopefully you will be able to use this to your advantage to get to Orlando.
It’s certainly a dang good plan anyway.

Given a choice between work and here…
I chose here when ever possible.
That being said, this response is really much closer to the truth…
Welcome. Don't worry too much about staying current. Lots of posts little content.

That ‘splains it pretty succinctly

This comment was paid for by the LCBO's star Spirits and Beer Advocate....

And I’m sure the LCBO is proud to know you have their back

This thing snuck up on me. I was just thinking about it yesterday and kind of had that "Oh crap, that's this weekend" realization.

I love Nashville, been there a few times. I'm sure we will have a little less "fun" this time though since the kids will be in tow. It definitely eliminates a few of my favorite places to visit for live music. :rotfl2:

I've never been inside the Opryland hotel though, and I just couldn't pass up the chance to stay there for a few nights. We're going to try to get by without spending anything out of pocket if we don't have to, so I doubt we'll venture too far from the hotel property this time, as much as I'd love to spend a couple of evenings doing the Broadway pub crawl. :rotfl2::lmao:
