Long day planned. Boss has high expectations on what gets finished today, so I gotta work fast. :headache: Then taking DW to dinner for her birthday.

Happy Birthday to the TikiMama!

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers! We did see the new neurologist and my DW is scheduled to have some more tests done. The new doctor is also of the opinion that all of this neuropathy may not be caused by the tumor/surgery but possibly something else, like Lyme Disease. Hopefully, she'll help us get to the bottom of this.

Here is our first Blue Angels pic of 2013. David is on the right, waiting for Boss to leave the cockpit after a flight. Things are going well in El Centro and we are still hopeful that we will be able to make a trip out there in March for the first airshow of the season.
There are tons of great Blue Angels pics on their FB page. Check it out and give them a Like! Thanks!

You guys have been dealing with this for far too long. Hope they get it figured out soon. Looking forward to the Blue Angels coming to town again this Summer!

Hi Mike. Praying that the doctors find out what is going on with your wife. Come around more often, these kids need Adult supervision! :lmao:
I'll try but I don't know if I'll be much good when it comes to supervising this group! :)

Morning all! Just stopping in briefly at the end of a 24 hour shift, and another tomorrow...

Mike, prayers to your wife! Neuropathy can be really hard to diagnose and extremely frustrating because it can wax & wane unrelated to treatment. Finding a doctor who listens, knows what he/she is doing and will work with you is key. Good luck!
Thanks, Doc! That's what we've been told. She does have a lot of waxing and waning, which is very discouraging for both of us. She'll have a really good week and then a bunch that aren't so good. That's why we're not sure about trying to travel to Yuma/El Centro.

Thanks for the picture. Continued prayers.
Thanks!

Hi mike!!! Hope everything works out!! Nice pic. !!!
Hi Dave! I hope you and the DW are doing well. I've been struggling with a darn cold and the flu for almost 2 months now. I guess I have to head back to the Doc to see why I can't get over the hacking. It's wearing me out! :rolleyes2 Most everyone else in the family has gotten over it; not me. Oh yeah......in addition to Blue Angels photos on FB, you can see their practice flights on YouTube under MKBlues1. The guy who records the flights goes out to El Centro every year and films every practice session from just outside the fence. There's even audio of Boss giving the commands for the maneuvers. You won't see David, just the pilots/jets. He is due for his 3rd year ride but that probably won't be filmed, unless there's a cockpit camera. He's not sure if that will happen in El Centro or Pensacola.

We're coming up on 19 months since the surgery and about 14 months since the end of radiation. It's getting old, that's for sure, but we just have to hang in. This is the life the Lord has given us and we just have to deal with it. I feel very sorry for my DW as she has a lot of discomfort a good deal of the time. I don't know how she does it. She's a real trooper!
David hasn't sent us his show schedule yet other than to tell us he has the El Centro show and Pax River (MD). I don't know about VA but he does have about 13 shows this year. He's planning to separate from the Navy in November and join the civilian world again and I don't think he has any of the shows in October and November, but I'm not sure. He's very busy so we usually only hear from him on Sundays.
Fly Navy! Go Blues!

Hey guys. Up at the cabin in Maine for the weekend. Just set some traps, hope the fish are biting today... Way too cold to wait outside though, so I'll just tend them from the house! ;)

Also, not sure if we talked about this, but I saw the Blue Angels fly up in NH over the summer, your son is incredible! What an awesome show!!!

Thanks! My son isn't a pilot; he is the Crew Chief for the Commanding Officer and the #1 jet. However, we do think he's awesome! :) Enjoy Maine!

DW called, they made it to the camp, took twice as long...she and the other mother are on their way back now. Good news is it looks like the snow has stopped falling.

Maybe Bigfoot is DIRECTING the fake Moon landings, using surpressed alternate fuel technologies...:scratchin

:thumbsup2

Where are they camping?

I just came across Catwoman on the tube. There is only one reason to watch this movie.

Maybe 2 reasons.... :rolleyes1

Mike,

Prayers for you and DW. Hope the docs help her out.

Back from basketball. Youngest won again. She only scored 14 this game as the other team was a little better. Oldest's team lost against a team they should have beat. At least my oldest had a great defensive game and made a few baskets. In the last quarter, she was running out of energy and rotated off the other team's best player, who then quickly went on a scoring tear. It was too late then. Still a good game for both.

I think I see how things when downhill in the ill-fated picture thread.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

YUUUP!

My FIL hunts now from inside his kitchen. He then has to drag the deer into his barn, turn on the heater, and finish it. You both are really roughing it.

Some crazy games today. Future Catholic League - 2 (Nova and Georgetown), Future ACC - 0 (Cuse and Louisville). The Big East race is wild right now.

Long day planned. Boss has high expectations on what gets finished today, so I gotta work fast. :headache: Then taking DW to dinner for her birthday. Looking very forward to a day off tomorrow.

Have a good one dads...

Happy Birthday to your better half.

Ok Dads....I am not a hunter but I am thinking of buying a trail cam or something to try and get the son of a Beverly who keeps smashing my light post...What should I get? Is trail cam best option and least expensive? :headache:

Evening guys...home for a bit before dinner, I booked the time for 6:45, seeing I was off at 6, before I got a 7-4 shift, so time for a shower and to relax. Back is quite stiff, lots of bending to clean the low shelves etc. Roughly halfway done though.

Jodi thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! :thumbsup2

DW and DD go GG camping as well... but there camp is further North and West...

About 30 minutes NW of Barrie.

A trail cam would work well, but being in a developed area, may be triggered more than you really need. It would most likely be a cheaper way to go rather than a motion security cam though.
