DIS Dads DDC XXVI: They all went to the DDCC and all we got was this Lousy Thread!

Going to try and do a TR for the cruise over at cruise critic. I'll have to remember to link it here for ya. If you've never been on the Pride, hopefully you have no aversion to Renaissance art. Some people end up having less than stellar trips due to the decor. DW and I could care less, though some areas aren't the best lighting. Plus some prudish people over the years have 'altered' some of the images..

I don't think I would care much for the decor, unless i had my children with me and it was something I didn't want them to see. I know some people pick WDW resorts based on theming - our choices are based on what we want to do and what parks we plan to do.

It is eerily quiet in here today....

It doesn't bother me though... Can't shelter got kids heir whole lives.

-35 to -41 today here with the windchill (that's about the point where the two scales are the same for you southerners). March 1st can't get here fast enough. I would take snow everyday if we could get rid of the cold.

A 'brisk' 73 F today here in DFW. It might as well be -41, since I am indoors at my cubicle all day anyway.

Well, let me not help you with this thought. When you amortize it over 30 years, and I am a big enough nerd to have done that, I figured DVC costs me $20 a night to move up from a value resort to a deluxe resort for the same number days of tickets. But, since we now do parks every other day and enjoy the resort, we spend even less. There are uncertains, but I'm figuring both annual dues will increase at the same rate as room prices. The downside is that I half to go to WDW twice a year. Note - my calculations include buying the resale contract outright without financing.

Good luck in the decision. It is a major one.

good to see you back david. getting back into the swing of things a.s.a.p. always worked for me. i lost my mom when i was 16 (today it was 32 years ago) i cant believe its been that long. lost my dad 17 months later. when my mom was told there wasnt anything they could do for her, she sat me down, told me she wont be around much longer but she will always be with me. along with other things. i will never forget that night and thats what has gotten me through alot of problems i had in my younger years and even today. i still can hear her yell DAVID! i still can hear by dad as i was sitting on the curb on main street by the candy store in the mk on our first visit, "so what do you think, wanna come back again"? i havnt left him down yet!

i was up last night watching NOVA!!! thers a local kid that plays for nova ( darrun hilliard) that i have been watching since his high school days. hes from the town next to us and is the same age as briana.

Kim and I were at a store about a month after my mom passed away and I heard a woman yell "DAVID" at the top of her lungs. I kinda cringed a little and told my wife I could relate with what that kid was about to get

i havnt had heat in 3 days, can you look at my furnace. theres a hole in the side of it big enough to stick my head in, this didnt happen three days ago.

my favorite..............what, they just cleaned it three years ago, what do you mean its all clogged with soot???? can you clean it?????

The Pirate Princess decided to brave the cold and go to the SH B-Ball game. Think I caught a glimpse of her during one of the timeouts. Up seven at the half.

Taking the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore to the Bahamas. Took this same trip (on the same ship) for our honeymoon, and decided we wanted to do it again.

We have cruised on the Carnival Miracle and Paradise. Enjoyed both cruises but we are still looking forward to our first DCL cruise coming up soon.
