I get what your saying. Especially since it is the home team making changes.

We usually see a lot of changes in our tournaments leading up to the start to try to balance out all the groups to keep it competitive. It's usually a bunch of changes and not really the home team looking to win. I guess you'll just have to beat the team they added to your schedule too/:thumbsup2

We beat the team they added in our first game of the season, although the game did go to overtime. The way I look at it they changed the schedule to put the top two teams in the same pool so they will have a better chance of winning their pool. They must feel that they can beat one of us because chances are they will have to play one of us in the cross-over.

Dis Dad meets happen everywhere - at WDW, football stadiums, museums, and Walmart parking lots?

Shawn(Wasnotafan) happened to be in Owensboro and escaped a little bit earlier than expected. But, we managed a picture outside in the cold. We chatted a bit, although since it was cold and he had to be in Louisville, we didn't visit long. Shawn seems like a great guy, we talked about work, children, trips, and he even brought me a travel mug. It was nice to put a face with the name, and I hope I can chat with you more in the future. Have a safe trip home.

Taking over the world, one Walmart at a time. Good Job Men!

You play tennis? I played on HS team first two years until I had to get a job. Then I found beer. Then it was all over. I would like to lose enough weight to play reasonably competitive again.

Slow-pitch softball and beer goes really well together.

You couldn't take him inside the Walmart where you could chat in the warmth? :rotfl2:

If they were moving the teams to make it more competative that would be one thing. This looks like a major case of home cooking.

That stinks. Home cookin run amok. That crap goes on everywhere and then they whine about it. Why do athletes cheat? Because the so called morally righteous people taught them how to cheat.

It does look like home cooking. Back in my youth tennis days, a lot of summer programs that hosted tourneys would place the top ranked players at the bottom of the bracket to beat the crap out of each other in the early rounds. Meanwhile their kids would play lower raked kids and hopefully those kids advanced to get whoever survived the bracket of death. After a few seasons of that I just had enough and let my membership lapse.

I've been playing since middle school. I love it and its a great way to get in shape. I've also coached boys and girls for a number of seasons at the high school level.

I haven't played in about a year, but i did ok. I played doubles as there is no way I can run. I have a two hand backhand, and it suffered with my lack of consistent play and size, but I still had most of my other shots. I thought about joining a league this summer to play my way back into shape. It depends on game nights and my work schedule. If we ever get a timed trip, let me know and I'll bring my racket and play you for a Dole Whip.

Nicely done fellas.:thumbsup2

Yeah okay, the walk-in beer fridge is WARMER then the warehouse...'tis a wee bit nippy out there. :rotfl2:

Morning all, it's a beautiful day here. Local weather has us at a blistering 4 F, with wind chills well into the negatives. So glad my office has 1 heating vent that is blocked by a counter...:rolleyes2
All the apartment's heaters are blocked, otherwise it's a furnace in here. Store on the otherhand, freaking cold. Heat was off in the warehouse....:sad2:

The Indiana Jones theme music is now playing in my head.

.

I learned hard to an archeology field in high school, (didn't have the grades). I know the reality is a lot of tedious hours of carefull digging/brushiong away dirt etc (all the while, humming the Idiana Jones theme. :rotfl2:

It is interesting. I like that this guy takes a scientific approach and he is open minded about looking at possibilities that don't jive with what the history books say.

Good..open mindness is needed to study history...

This has been my first attempt to whack a Canadian beehive:duck:

Watch for penguins...just sayin'...:rolleyes1

I grew up with the Imperial system and have no trouble going back and forth. In fact even most kids use feet, inches, and pounds when describing their height and weight. But if you say it is 85 degrees outside it means nothing to them. It is quite funny actually, there is 6 years between DW and I and she has no idea what fahrenheit means.

For the French/English thing, that really depends on where you are. Government documents are in both but many things are still in English only.

Well the US is smaller than Canada, so to us it is a smaller country. :rotfl2:
I just missed out on imperial but prefer lengths and weights to be in imperial. At work we still use both too

Thanks. Their AD (I'm not sure why a middle school has an AD) is known for his home cooking.
