Blazing Saddles...:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

"So what do you like to do Jim?" :lmao:
"Play chess...Screw..."
"Let's play chess!"
Just wondering, the dads who are entering, which package are y'all choosing? Since DD would be going the Happy Happenings one fits us best
Happy happenings.
Randall is at Disney drinking Yuengling with a couple of penguins.
Sidney Crosby and Mario Lemieux?
Shooter is on now. Sometimes, I think that is the way to go. Build a house in the middle of the wilderness. It will never happen as that would be way too much work for me.

Don't you have long drives for work sometimes? If so, go to the library and get some of the audiobooks from this series. I think they're written by a guy names Stephen Hunter. "I, Sniper" and "Havana" are really good. "Shooter" is one of the weaker ones- not sure why that's the one to get turned in to a movie.

Race time temps are now forecast to be in the low 60's. That's about 10 degrees warmer than I'd like.

I went to high school with the daughter of our preacher, and we were pretty good friends. She basically grew up with my wife and they are extremely close.

Anyway, she left home to attend school in one of those southern states and then served in the Army as a nurse. She spent a few years on a base in Hawaii and just a few months ago returned from a deployment in Afghanistan and moved back home. Long story short, in her time away from home, she got married and had a couple of kids that are actually close to our kids ages. Her husband is a great guy, so we've been trying to have our families spend some time together lately.

We're going over to their house to watch the game tonight and he is the biggest Crimson Tide fan I've ever met. I'm seriously contemplating showing up decked out in blue and gold, just to irritate him. :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

This ain't SEC country.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Don't do it! DW bought a ND shirt for DD to wear to school today (she goes to a Catholic school). They were allowed to wear ND gear instead of the uniform today and DW feared DD would feel left out. I tried to argue that wasn't fair to bribe kids into wearing that beverly and instead we should send her to school in her Illini gear. I lost that battle.

That would be mean, funny but mean.

:lmao:

Must...concentrate...too...much...work.

Only 2 more sleeps. Can't wait to meet all you guys.

:scared1::headache::sad:

Oh well, whatever time I end up running will be a PR. At least it will be warm enough to jump in the pool afterward.

Do you have to have a pet penguin to play?:rotfl2::rotfl2: I'll try to get in on it tonight. Don't know a whole lot about the hockey stats, but if it's like the football pools I have a better chance that way.

You do what it takes to win; sometimes not knowing anything is what it takes. :lmao:

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not jumping on the bandwagon, and if they win, I don't want to have to hear about it from the ND football/IU basketball fans that make up most of the fan demographics around here.

That said, I think I have to support the local school over an SEC school this year. :confused3

That would be mean, funny but mean.

:lmao:
That's kind of what I thought... :rotfl:

Interesting discussion on Mad Dog Radio this morning. Should RG3 have played yesterday?

What do you guys think?

In 2010 there was a freak cold-front that came through and had us starting the Marathon at a wind-chill temperature of 0-5 degrees. :headache:

I'm not complaining about this year's forecast. ;)

Likewise! :thumbsup2

I'm not really up to speed on what RG3's condition was before the game. I hadn't really followed his status over the past week, and I wasn't even home to see that game yesterday, so maybe knowing that information could influence my thoughts. It really is a tough call. They play in a tough division and they're in the playoffs now. There's no guarantee they'll be in the playoffs next year, so you kind of have that "we have to win now" side to it.

On the flip side, this is a rookie, first round franchise quarterback. You've got to protect him!

I guess with what I've seen out of Kirk Cousins in the game action he saw during the regular season, I don't think I'd have a problem giving him the nod, as long as he was getting enough first team reps all week.:confused3

Being in the 60's at start is going to be a BIG change from what I was running in... I wouldn't mind 30's actually. popcorn::

Although the weather is going to be outstanding for January!!!! Better than my Nov trip!!!:banana:

At jury pool. 12% chance I'll get picked. I am hoping so. Attorneys have expensive suits, so maybe I can get a big bribe. :lmao:

‘Morning all…

Morning guys!

Today's the day, today's the day, today's the day!!
happydancingmickey.gif

Congrats to you and all the rest. You done good to get this all put together.
Nice work.

I’m in the midst of year-end reporting at work. Nastiest week of the year ‘round here and the only reason I couldn’t be part of the DDCC with the rest of y’all. Frustrating…
My wife would have let me go solo no questions asked, but it’s my employer that won’t give up the time.

Nope, seldom get to see commercials from the US

Lucky you…

Long weekend, looks like you were all pretty chatty.

To those headed to convention... you suck. Have a great time!

:lmao:

I do wish for extra magic and pixy dust overload for those of you heading down, but Andy’s right…

Y’all suck. :rotfl2:

:crazy2:
Hope you get what you want out of it. My experiences with being on juries in civil cases have been less then stellar. I saw decisions made based on prejudices and even self interest; completely destroyed my faith in the jury system and even in my fellow humans to some extent.

The heat can be tough on long runs, but I'd prefer 50s-60s to this new england weather... I hate having to bundle up for a long run!

I showed up early, got a parking place, bathed, and am not wearing blue jeans and a hat. No chance of being selected.

I would love for it to be in the low 50s at the start, but I'll take it being much warmer. Sure it means I'll run slower, but it'll make the rest of the time in the parks much better.
