Well I guess I'm ready for tomm, DD has her daycare Christmas party so we went and bought Christmas cookies( already done the debate so yes I can bake cookies but daycare prefers store bought and sealed cookies) I wrapped her book for the book exchange and I got her teacher (not the previously talked about teacher, this ones hot too but married) got her a gift certificate and a card that DD picked out, so should be good to go.

Also is it wrong to use a gift card that my supervisor gave me for one of DDs birthday presents? I never go to bass pro shop but DD has been wanting a fishing pole so she can fish with me so today I ordered her fishing pole kit with the GC and only paid 1.60 out of pocket

Sounds like a smart use of a gift card. Well done Sir!

As for store bought, be prepared for pre-packaged only. You'll get that for sure in public schools in attempt to eliminate food allergies and epi pens in schools. As for gift cards, I hate them. They represent a chore to me - I have to carry them in my wallet, keep up with a balance, and only go to a specific store. I'd rather have cash. However, once given to you, you may spend them however you see fit. Just be us to verify there is money on there before regifting one.

Hadn't seen that one. :thumbsup2

Hey guys...school is on Christmas break now. I went to Laurens class and served Christmas lunch to them...man it smelled so good..the parents in her class are good cooks. I was afraid to eat anything because I had just left the dentist office and unexpectedly had to have two fillins on the left and I looked like I had Bell's Palsy in my face :rotfl2: I tried to take a drink of something and I was not able to feel the cup against my face...it was not pretty :rotfl:...I could tell that some of the other parents were looking at me wondering what had happened since they had last seen me :rotfl: Luckily most of the feeling has come back this evening , but ....next week I have to have 3 more on the right side!!!

Tomorrow is Christmas Miracle number 1's Birthday...Hard to believe he will be 8. I will never forget when he was born and all the emotions of adoption coming to a peake! We were able to leave the hospital with him on Christmas Eve. The best gift we ever received that year!! Stuck in a Residance Inn until Mid January before we could cross state lines and come home. Oh the memories....Id go to the local TGarget every night and collect buggies that people had not put back and get the quarter out of them (we dont have to rent buggies here LOL)..Id use the quarters to do laundry each day...LOL

So I can't spend it and then regift it? Thank stinks haha
Not regifting it, bought DD a fishing pole kit for her birthday in a few weeks with it

How you spent it was a great idea - it is yours to spend however you want. I received a $20 gift card to Walmart and it didn't work. Maybe it was spent and re gifted, maybe Walmart employee didn't load it, maybe the Mayans are right tomorrow ...

Ok, so not so cool story about the trip from the dentist, but cool Christmas miracle story. Happy Birthday to your son.
