Stupid Computer Ownage!

OK. So I was working on CPE credits needed to maintain my CMA certification and all of a sudden I get a pop up window to sign into some stupid special access thing. Now no matter what I do, if I try to get back into the course it sends me somewhere I don't want to be. I tried 3 different computers so it can't be something on the computer, I figure it has to be something on the website. I guess I'll try later, but I need to be done with this and one other class by end of day tomorrow. Really frustrating. Stupid Al Gore. Why couldn't he invent a better internet.

Most times a year Mon, Tues, Wed, & Thurs. are my Saturdays and Sundays.

Lined up my sons babysitter for the 9th, have tickets to a gift auction in the afternoon, last year they had Dis tics but instead I won 4 season beach badges for a private beach (Probably will not put in for the beach this year, who knows if it will even be open next year)

But anyway I have to figure out if I want to take the day off (it's a Sun it would be no pay) or see if I can do a 8-12 (at time+ half)

IS there any weekend you AREN'T going to some kind of auction?

I'll take 2 Saturdays and Sundays! I guess sometimes it can be good to have those off days when everyone is working. You probably get a lot more done than I do on the weekends. I couldn't do odd days off since we have so much activity on Saturday and Sunday with sports and such.

Well, sorry tomorrow is your Monday, but happy it is my Friday.

I avoid NJ at all costs. I always thought driving in Mass was bad until I hit that NJ turnpike. It's a cross between a drag race and bumper cars. The good thing is I learned at least 3 new swear words and how to avoid the kids next time we hit the bumper cars.

Got home last night to discover that the deadbolt on my front door no longer worked.
Frustrating… but they’re easy to replace not all that expensive and the retailer rekeyed the new one to match the rest of my locks for only $5. Not a repair that I was planning on, but other then time, it didn’t really set me back all that far.

That is what I hear too. I just wish they would update the Heir to the Empire trilogy and go from there. Twenty years later and those are still the best Star Wars novels.

Never read any of the books. I like to read non-fiction, but don't do well with the other.

Don't feel bad. I broke my glasses yesterday morning, didn't have a spare, and had already used my 1-pair-allowance from my vision insurance for the year. So that was $300 I wasn't planning on spending. Sigh.

Ouch. Duct tape wouldn't fix it?

I spent the day volunteering at DS's middle school. They have an annual Fire Fighter Challenge and the kids get to run the course as a class. It was a blast to watch them all go through the course and to watch how competitive not only the kids got but the teachers too!

Morning Guys!

Its already been a Beverly of a week, hoping it ends soon. Found out yesterday that the work I completed months ago that put us way ahead of the game was in the wrong format. Seems no one from the Prime Contractor told us that they decided to change the format. So, where we were once way ahead of the game, we are now significantly behind. Now, add on to that the fact I also have to write training packages and there are another 4 technical manuals that are due at the same time, and you can feel my aggravation.

So, on the way in this morning I get stopped by a train at 20 after 5. At the ONE crossing between my house and work, which is 43 miles away. Then I get stuck behind someone who likes to drive in the left lane, so I switch to the right to go around him. HE SPEEDS UP to keep me from passing and I get stuck behind a smaller truck driving in the right lane. At this point I am questioning his parentage and wondering if I could find the fleas of a 1000 camels to start my retribution. So I slow back down and get in the left lane. At which point said person of questionable parentage slows down and matches the speed of the truck in the right lane.

At this point I put on my Charlie Brown Christmas music from my iphone and try not to commit vehicular manslaughter.

Oh and I have a meeting from 3-4 this afternoon. Seriously? Who schedules a meeting from 3-4 on a Thursday?

Can I go home? My XBOX and Skyrim are lonely.

Return from work-catchup time...

W-9 is just a request for your tax ID number. It's pretty simple. I have tax customers on the side that issue me 1099's each year. In order to issue the 1099, they need to have a W9 with accurate information. You can print one off the IRS website if needed. Usually investments ask for them as well.

I know he's trying to communicate, I just don't know what he is saying..

Can't believe I missed it again. Good thing we have it on DVD. I'll have to watch it this weekend.

We have most the major, some minor specials on DVD now....

I just took the week of Thanksgiving "off", but I ended up working a few hours due to my boss and I both being away from the office at the same time. I was planning on taking from the 18th of Dec off until New Years, but not sure if that's going to happen now. At least my company cashes us out on PTO at the end of the year.

Better you found it now, before it caused a problem though. Better to replace it then all the stuff someone breaking in could do.

Yep...the biggest issue unrelated though was my high blood pressure, so I am back on the meds, but they make light headed for a while till I get used to them.
