DD went with my mom this weekend and I know what you mean. I love mom to death, but she REALLY needs to remember they are not 3 any more. The bigger issue this time was they went to make a Christmas list. My mom bought her 3 items on the list while they were out and let her have them. REALLY? Whats the point of making a list? I think we have a 3 day boot camp training every time they come back from there. Of course the wife tells me for the 3 days that it is my fault.

Yeah. When the kids go to DMIL they come back deaf. Last time they were at my parents DS watched a lot of Tom & Jerry so there was some hitting issues.

Me either. I am putting all extra spending on lock down. I want to cancel cable, but DW is finding it hard to imagine life without certain shows? That would save $600 over a 10 month period! My estimate for the adoption is between $30-35k so every little bit helps.

Depending on what the shows are, you could spent $100 on an AppleTV and then about $20/month on a combination of Hulu+ and Netflix streaming and you can cover much of what's carried on most cable packages.

My problem with moving to a setup like that is my college basketball addiction.

My problem with moving to a setup like that is my college basketball addiction.

Live sports seems to be the biggest problem with dropping cable for most people. The current generation appletv can be bought from apple for $85. I just ordered one for DW so that she can mirror her iPad on TV.

I pulled my lionel out as part of our christmas decorating, as I played with it it made me wonder if there is an O or G gauge monorail that functions the same way. I've been looking around at the shuco and e-r monorails but neither of them are in production currently.

that I had at Cinderella’s Royal Table...although we just had O'hana's dinner on our last trip and it was AWESOME!!!

As for soccer...I played when I was young...just can't get into watching it. My girls both played for a year...then we moved on to Tball.

Just not my thing. I work for a lare int'l financial firm and there's lots of discussions from my UK pals about 'footy'. DOn't get me started on cricket

Wow those are both really freaky. We only have to deal with DS's sleep walking. Most of the times it's not urgent, but we did have one situation where he walked into our room proclaiming "I have to pee"before heading into our closet. I woke him up that time.

We did find him peeing under the sink at one point while he was sleep walking. Thought the sink was leaking for about a week until we saw him go in and open the door. Guess who had to clean that up.

Thankfully they grow out of it. Hasn't been any sleep walking for a couple of years or so. Of course now the problem is actually getting him to go to bed.

I was shocked to see Cleveland as the favorite in my Yahoo Pick'em league!

My guess is we'll jump out to an early lead and then lose it in the 4th quarter - i.e. the Dallas game.

I guess the announcement of Charlie Batch at QB and Paxico Burress at WR for Pitt isn't getting a lot of love in Vegas.
