until Jeffrey comes home :confused3
Then, her Grandma starts laughing hysterically.

So I ask her...Who's Jeffrey?

.....On Guiding Light mommy. :lmao:

:headache: What has grandma done to my baby?

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

The way soap opera's work, it could be months before she goes back to school! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: My grandmother had me addicted to General Hospital. I would run home from the bus stop to catch the last half of it every day. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hope Jeffrey comes home soon so she can get to school. :goodvibes:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Isn't Guiding Light being cancelled?

Hopefully it will be soon, so your daughter can get an education. :rotfl:

Guiding Lights last episode is going to air on Sept 18, so she doesn't have too much longer, mom give her a break :lmao: This is a monumental event, how many shows last for 72 years :rotfl2:

Don't worry, when I was a kid I watched All my Children for an entire summer with my mom and she used to dish the dirt to me when I got home.

If you saw Jeffrey without his shirt on today you'd understand.....Your daughter just has good taste.

I'm 36 yrs old, and I've been watching GL for 36 years. It never hurt me! And sadly, the pp are correct. You won't have to worry about her watching much longer.

I've never watched Guiding Light but was curious who Jeffrey was. Tell your daughter I understand why.:lmao: Maybe you could tape the last few episodes.

I don't know....he seems a little OLD for her. :rotfl2: She's only 7...maybe she's genuinely concerned for his well-being :lmao:

Wow THAT'S Jeffrey?...I don't think I want to go to school next week. :woohoo:

:lmao:

Oh that brings back memories! I used to watch Guiding Light with my granny, too.

I know some people will be horified of a 7 year old watching a soap but I agree this thread brought back such memories of my watching the "stories" with my own grandmother. It made me smile. With the state of soaps and daytime TV today this is going to be a lost art. I too watch Guiding Light with my grandmother. It was on 15 minutes in those days and black and white. I haven't watched it in years but I will tape that last show and watch it in memory of her.

Don't be so sure OP. dd9 was only 5 when we were in a beauty shop full of older women, and an Allan Jackson song came on. She loved the video, and as soon as the music started she exclaimed "Ohhhhhh Allan Jackson, I could just eat him up!" I was ready to crawl under something, but they thought it was hilarious. She has always been a little boy crazy!

GL has already finished taping. Now we are just waiting to see the last few shows, and to find out if Jeffrey makes it home to Reva before the end.
