DD out of hospital (UPDATE)

Bethany was soooooooo happy to see all the cards you guys sent her!!( 72 cards!!the nurses couldn't believe how many she got, she said we must have some special friends)Thank you so much. we got home late last night. She is doing okay but came home with a gastric nasal tube to feed her.Because she was unable to drink anything . she will be on that for atleast two weeks until she is able to drink on her own. (It's a continuous feeding pump) But all in all she is doing great.
For all that ask what jaw distraction is , she was born with pierre robin , she had a cleft palete and small bottom jaw, the reason the did the surgery was to get her off her cpap machine she had small airway , she has been on it for 9 yrs. The moved her bottom jaw and top jaw and chin out,they cut into the bone in her jaws and replace it with bone graft from her hip and plates and pins and screws.. She will be swelled for about a month and will be unable to eat solids for awhile. But she she has been getting better day by day. Thanks for all you thoughts prayers and cards we really appreciated it.

I had a friend who's son was born with many facial deformities, but I thought it was neat that they took one of his moms ribs to give his face 'bone structure'..
