DD hotel/pay for parking at parks?

I'm going to be at a Downtown Disney hotel (the Grosvenor) in September. I'm thinking about renting a car instead of taking the busses. If I rented a car and drove to the parks, would I have to pay the $6 per day parking fee? I've heard that Disney affiliated hotel guests receive free parking at the theme parks, but I'm not sure whether the Downtown Disney hotels are considered to be such. Thanks!

Unless things have changed recently you would have to pay for parking at the Disney parks. Depending on how long you are staying you might look into an annual pass which includes free parking.
