We've had an uneventfull couple of days now! (A good thing!) I have DD scheduled to see a doc Tuesday. (Hope we can get to the bottom of things!) Today my boss says I have to go to Paris for a week the beginning of June and told me to take DD along! She is SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!! I only have a day and a half of work but need to stay a couple days to keep the air fare down. (Life is rough!:p ) What should not be missed while we're there?

You poor thing! You have to stay longer to keep the airfare down? ;)

I'm glad your daughter is feeling better and that she gets to go with you. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Maybe you should take a friend along to hang out with your daughter...a DIS friend :)

I sure hope all goes well at the doctor's Tuesday. How in the world did you get an appointment so quickly?

I hope you both have a great time!!

Oh Man, Paris in the Spring, you can't beat that. Make sure you go to the Musee D'Orsay. It is an absolutley amazing museum across for the Tuilleries. It used to be a train station and they converted it into an art museum but left the huge open spaces, incredible! The L'Orangerie is at one end of the Tuilleries. Another museum, this one very small. It has many Impressionist paintings, quite a few Reniors and four stunning massive panels by Monet in the basement. He painted them to celebrate the end of WWI as a gift to Paris. Spend a Sunday morning walking around the gardens and watch the French children sail their boats in the round ponds while their parents read the papers and smoke endlessly. Take a boat tour from the Pont Neuf in the evening and see Paris all lit up. A bit of advice, if you go to the Eiffel Tower, don't bother going all the way to the top. It is very small and crowded and the wait for the elevator is endless. You can see much better from the main observation deck. Make sure you have lunch at an outdoor cafe. It may sound trite, but it is so much fun to sit and people watch. There are great shops everywhere, but I remember a really good one on the Rue St Honre. Have a WONDERFUL time, you have made me nostalgic!

I do not claim that ANY of the French spellings are correct!:o :p
