DCP application question

So I turned in my application Jan. 28 in the afternoon and up until this point my application still says in submission and I have only recieved the "thanks for applying" email. My friend who turned his application in the same day but much later got the invite for the wbi within a couple hours and is now onto the phone interview.... Does this mean that my application is likely not to be chosen? I know the PC answer is everyone is given consideration until told otherwise and not everyone moves along in the program the same way but what has DCP alumni and people who have already been selected for DCP experience been? Has anyone been in submission for a while then be chosen or is it pretty much hopeless at this point? I really want to do this and it's my last year in college so any help would be so appreciated!!

I've been in the same boat, and I've seen it go both ways. When I applied my first two times, I was put in submission, but at that time nobody had ever gotten out of it. Applications for the past spring however, a lot of people were given interviews about half way through the season, while some never received one. No one knows why, there have been theories left and right, but that's all I know about it.
