Hello All!
I am new to DIS and I'm trying to find out as much as I can about Disney Cruise Line Weddings. I am hoping some of you out there who have either already had yours on the DCL and/or are deep into planning one can help me out with being better informed before I call them up and start the process. Let's talk!
I actually am a former Disney Mooner from 2002 (life changed a bit since then, you might say). Back then, I had a whole three-day weekend of WDW wedding events leading up to the big day/night. It was awesome and made everyone in attendance ooooh and aaaaaw for years about what they saw and got to do. So I guess I've been through the trenches of planning, moving dates, moving venues, rising budgets, etc. in having the big fairytale of a lifetime, and I've already learned the lesson of good coordinator versus bad, knowing the difference between what one wants and what is "available" regardless of budget, etc., etc., etc.
So now that I'm happily planning to wed again
, I really think the cruise may be the way to go. Not just to make it different than the last event, but because we both
just LOVE the cruise and think it would be the ultimate experience for us! I know Disney will make it unforgettable and all, but I really, really want to make sure this one is as easy as possible. These things can lead to SO much unnecessary strain on a couple and I don't want that to happen again. They failed to mention that in the brochure!
LOL
So I'm looking for information on the best coordinator(s)
, all available options and choices (both what they will and perhaps won't admit until they know your total estimated budget), and anything anyone is willing to share with me that will arm me to the nine's before I make that call (once again).
I appreaciate all and any of your time, thoughts and help with this.
Also, feel free to bounce your questions off me about WDW. Having had a big wedding festival there, having attended many other weddings and conventions over the years, lived in Celebration and even worked for the mouse before, there's a chance I might know the answer to have some insight on where to point you. Ironically, I just don't know about DCL Weddings!
Thanks everyone (in advance)!
Berry
