So I realize that DCL opened up the rest of 2008 sailings including the Repos and Mexican cruises... I have DU getting me a quote for a repo. But I also wanted to get a pricing for the 5 night Bahama cruise in Sept. 2008.
I ended up booking this after waiting 29 minutes to talk to a real live CM but she told me, there wer 168 people on hold!!! Yikes.
Anyhow.. booked the 5 night double dip cruise starting Sept 1st 2008.
A Cat 6 1A 2c (accessible #6154) + Cat 11 2A 1C = $4186
Still waiitng to see about repos though.....

I booked a few people on repo cruises first thing this morning and the Westbound repo has since sold out.

However, good news is that deposits are due this Saturday (February 3rd) and not everyone will be putting money down. Combine that with those who have double and triple rooms on hold and cabins are very likely to open up on the weekend. :)

Well I spent 4+ hours only on hold only to find out I really wasn't on hold!

I got stuck in a Time Warp! I am waiting to hear back from DCL and IC! Hopefully I will get more than an apology for their Screw Up!

To Say the Least................ WE ARE NOT AMUSED!

I wouldn't hold my breath...

Scratch - what cruise/room category are you trying to get???

Have you stayed in room 6154 yet? That was the HA accessible room my inlaws had on the cruise in Dec and my god was the room ever big and balcony was even bigger you could have fit about 40 people on the balcony. It is right at the stern of the ship and has a great view from there. I will try to find a pic of the balcony and post it up for you.

I'm not going to!

I was hoping to get the August Repo, Cat 6 but finally had to settle for a Cat 7 for an outrageous price!

Well, if they don't come thru, it's Bye Bye Bye after my Med!

August, huh? Bummer, I can't help you for that.

I have a room on hold for the May repo, Cat 6 and looks like the guest doesn't want it (he has until Saturday to decide).

I was going to offer it to you before I put it back into DCL inventory. Sorry!

Thanks Anyways, can't take DD out of school, even though I don't think she would fight me on doing it!LOL

Here is a picture of the balcony from HA room 6154 on the Wonder.

OMG!!!! I can't believe the size of that balcony. It is huge.

The lack of cabin space is the one thing I'm not looking forward to on our cruise....but a bacony like that would be amazing!

Good luck with the booking!!

I got my qoutes back from DU......
Westbound
2 Cabins Cat.6
1st 1A 2C (3 & 11) = $9085.22
2nd 2A 1C (1) = $4255.22

DO YOU SEE THE CRAZY DIFFERENCE IN THE PRICE 4 THE SAME CAT??????

Eastbound
2 Cabins Cat 8 accessible & a guaranteed Cat 5.
Same cabin configuration as above...
$16, 089 (didn't get individual qoutes!)
ded transfers, airfare or insurance!!!!
Neither of the repos included transfers, airfare or insurance!!!!
Needless to say, I'm NOT going... did however book two cabins for 5 nite in Sept.

Cat 6 & Cat 11 = $4180 including insurance

And yes we have cruise in Cabin 6154 before... we intend to use wheelchair closet as 3 year old's bedroom as she has an inflatable princess bed (with door open of course!) We also plan on bringing a small 1-2 ring inflatable pool for the balcony for our baby as it may be too crazy in the Mickey ear and this way, he can swim no matter what. And it has a bathtub for Ryleigh!!!!

We are booked on the westbound repo cruise in a cat 9. Luckily we got to keep our OBC and our 10% discount so the price wasn't too bad. The prices are now out of this world.

DCL Rocks!

They Did the Right Thing!

I will now be sailing with my Old and New Friends August 2008!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

And I won't eat anything in Acapulco this time!:lmao: :lmao:

Yeah Janet!!!!

Debated going in August but just wouldn't have worked at work unfortunately. I want to win that new lottery thing where you win $1 million each year for 25 years and forget work!

That's what I forgot to do this weekend! Buy that Winning Ticket!

Good Luck!

You guys can let us know what to expect!

But watch out for Acapulco! Another Shooting!

Still have to buy a ticket myself. :rotfl:

Saw the news about Mexico and Jim doesn't even want to get off the ship in Mexico at this point. I don't think we'll be venturing far. Will definately get together and let you know how it goes in May!

Hi Fiona ,
Just wanted to say hi to a fellow cruiser :) I have also booked the westbound repo, my very first cruise! I am so excited :goodvibes This is a solo trip for me. Maybe we could arrange a meet, let me know if you're interested . Could only afford a Cat 11, but that's okay...I"M ON THE BOAT!

Alcapulco, not what it used to be! Our Group will proabaly do the Rafting! And then it's Laundry Day!

If you go to the Cliff Divers, don't eat there!

If you need any souvies, there are plenty of shops inside the Terminal!

Kathe, you'll have fun! Just bring Ginger, just in case.

Thanks Janet, I've been on lots of small boats and ferry boats, etc and been fine, but there was one 4 hour fishing excursion off the coast of PEI that I would never want to repeat

Kathe - a meet would be great. Have only posted once on the big thread -- I'm trying to read it all but there's been a lot of postings! We booked a cat 9 but have cruised in a cat 11 and a cat 12 and thought they were great too. We decided since we were going through the canal that we wanted a window in case it was really warm and we wanted an a/c break and still see out -- the price for the verandahs were out there though.
