Hello,

First time DCL cruiser here, and I have a problem that I hope you guys can help me with.

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on the Fantasy, departing April 28th for seven nights to the Western Caribbean.

Being from Canada, we will travel by plane the day before the cruise and leaving the day after. My hubby surprised me by announcing that we will be spending the day of May 5th at Epcot where we will take advantage of the Flower and Garden Festival and will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

Anywho, my question is the following: if we take the DCL transport upon returning from our cruise on May 5th, is the transportation to our hotel included in the 70$/person roundtrip that we will be paying with DCL? With the exchange rate, our cruise + Epcot day + hotel will cost enough as it is, I'm trying to find ways to save as much as possible. Since after we will book in our hotel, the transportation to the park + transportation back to MCO will be included, I would be very happy if the DCL transport would bring us to POR at no extra charge.

Thanks!

DCL Transportation between Port Canaveral and either MCO or your WDW Resort is $35 per person each way.

DME (Disney's Magical Express) which operates between MCO and your WDW Resort is included in your resort room rate.

Great, so it's included in the 70$/person we would've paid anyway for the round trip from MCO to Port Canaveral and back. I imagine that we have to inform DCL of that fact when we will arrange transportation with them?

Unfortunately, DCL transportation costs money. You can try and see if you can find a transportation company that will charge you less than what DCL charges, but we usually take the DCL transportation since it gives us the start/end of our Disney stay. We have found it cheaper to take private transfers in other parts of the country though. We just haven't done it to Port Canaveral.

Yes, you will need to specify where you are being picked up and where you are being taken to after the cruise. Make sure you call them to set it up once your flights/hotel stays are booked.

Yeah, I think my thread title causes confusion; I was already paying the $70 fee anyway, but was wondering if I absolutely had no choice but being returned to MCO and then having to take another transportation to POR. If the DCL transportation brings me directly there, I'm a happy girl! Thanks!

No you will have to pay $35 each to get you back to WDW or the airport. Only thing free is airport to a resort.

I'm confused the day you fly in your going to your WDW? Then in the morning your going to the Port? That is $35 each to get to port. If you we going to the airport to the resort it would be free. Leaving from the airport to the port will cost you $35 each to get to the port and another $35 each to get back to the airport on your way from the port.

edt...just saw you said 70 per person then you are correct....lol

I don't get it; it's $35 from MCO to Port Canaveral then $35 from Port Canaveral to POR right? That's totals $70/person in my head. I'm I not understanding correctly?

To sum:

MCO to Port Canaveral: $35

Port Canaveral to any WDW Resort: $35

Any WDW Resort to PC: $35

MCO to WDW or back: $0

Sorry about that ... should read slower...lol

You will have a great anniversary trip. I hear you on the dollar exchange. Thinking of cancelling out our New Year's trip because of that darn dollar been so low.

I know right? I almost got a heart attack when I made the deposit... but hey, 20-year anniversary only comes by once!

Speaking of which, do they do anything special when you are celebrating an anniversary?
