DCL Terminal - What do you do before boarding?

We plan on being at the port at 10:30 am the day of our 1st cruise. What do we do till we board the ship with to kids? DD 7, DS 5.

Walk around, look at the terminal...or stand in line and wait to board. There isn't really anything to do.

Shortly before time to board...some of the characters come out for picture opps.

Other than that..you just play the waiting game.

The time will go by quick chat with other disers or just folks around u only one person need wait in line to hold the other spot.. lets the kids run around and look at stuff... with mom or dad...

there are places to sit, and some tv's running disney videos if I remember correctly

in thye waiting areas you can sit or watch tv playing disney shows on the tv in the waiting area

There is a huge model of one of the ships in the terminal. The time goes very quickly, my DD talked to many other girls - hoping to find a buddy. There is also a snack bar area in case you need some water or pop.

I want to get to the terminal early.........can we send our luggage
on the bus and take a limo to the terminal?

I stood in line and talked to others DIsers while my 4 year old watched cartoons....the time went pretty quickly and before we knew it it was noon and we were boarding!

We've walked around aside the terminal and taken pictures of the ship and terminal; up in the terminal there is an outside deck right next to the ship that you can go out and take pictures and look at the ship (magnificant to see it towering above you); there is a coffee/snack shop there -- but things sell out quickly. If you want to get on and get ressies, I would definitely get in line early. We were so busy walking around and taking pictures that before we knew it the line was wrapped around several times inside the terminal and almost down the escalator. But it moves VERY quickly.

As soon as you cross the "plank", they take your welcome aboard picture. So be prepared to dump you stuff to the side quickly and pose!
