DCL Southern Caribbean this summer with daughter in wheelchair

As stated above, we are doing the 10 night, Southern Caribbean cruise this summer. This will be the 7th DCL cruise for my wife and 2 daughters and the 5th for my son and I. My 15yo daughter is significantly disabled and in a wheelchair.

We arranged private port excursions when in St. Maarten and Jamaica when we did E. and W. Caribbean with great success. Can anyone suggest tour companies that have a handicap accessible van in Aruba, Curaçao, St. Kitts, or Tortola? Thanks.

I have no ideas but is there any chance I can talk you into doing a trip report about how this worked for your family. My daughter sounds similar and I really want to take a cruise but I just don't see how it would be worth it.

Hi Jen,
We've only cruised Disney, so I can't speak for any other cruise lines, but we have had fantastic trips aboard the Dream, Fantasy, and Wonder. My wife has taken the girls by herself on the Dream and Wonder and enjoyed it. The staff are fantastic. So far, when needed, I've been able to arrange non-Disney Port Adventures that allow passengers in wheelchairs. I have not done a southern itinerary so not familiar with those ports. I suggest posting on the DCL Forum, as many people over there never post/read this forum, even though they cruise with disabilities.
