We booked the 7 day land/sea - Does anybody have any idea which longhouse they tradtionally put in for the Poly? Or where were you in for the Poly for the land portion ?Thanks for your help. :earsgirl: ::MickeyMo

Not sure if this helps, but during our land/sea in 1999, we were put in the long house that is now called Aotearoa. The only thing I do not like about this particular long house, is the fake second floor balcony.

We are doing land/sea this year, so I'm curious where we will be.

Maybe someone here can give you a more recent experience with the Poly - Land/Sea. We do enjoy the Polynesian very much. The grounds are beautiful. ::yes::

We did the land/ sea on Oct. and stayed at the poly we were in Tokelau ... love the Poly everything was so great..

Our first cruise was the land/sea and we stayed at the Polynesian in Tokelau. HTH

We did the land/sea in October 2003 - we too stayed in Tokelau.
I wish we were there right now!

Well it sounds as if they don't use the same longhouse anyway. For our land/sea in August of 2003 we stayed in Figi. I'm wondering if we could make a request for our land/sea coming up in June of 2005, since my mother has congestive heart failure and it would be wonderful if we were in a close building to the GCH and pool area. Anxious to hear if anyone has ever stayed in Samoa on a land/sea.

could you see the mk fireworks from your balcony in tokelau?

We have been in Tokelau for both our Land and Seas. Both times we faced the queit pool. I don't think we could have seen the fireworks from our room, but we always watched from the beach anyway.

During our second stay, we were closer to the lagoon, so we could see part of the EWP.

Regardless, it was so easy to just walk out the back of the long-house to watch either event. That longhouse is a great location. Very central to everything, including the laundry room. We always did laundry the on Wed night, before we headed off to the ship.

In 2001, we stayed in Tahiti- very quiet and convenient to the TTC and not a bad walk to the main house. I think I requested it when we got there and they were able to accomodate us.
We're doing the Beach Club this year for our land/sea..not that I didn't love the Poly, just for something different. Have Fun!
