I have a 4-night DCL booked for DD's spring break - just the two of us for a little mom/daughter get-away. Two years ago we did WDW and stayed at ALS - had a great time. I'd have to borrow the points, but could easily do 4 nights at a nice DVC studio vice doing the 4-night cruise. I have old park hoppers, so even that part would be covered, so obviously the DVC option would be cheaper. I guess that's not really part of my consideration - I'm thinking DCL would be more relaxing for me.....and maybe for her, too? Just interested in thoughts?

Gee - you do ask a hard question. ;)

I love both DVC and DCL. A Disney Cruise is my favorite vacation and DVC is the best purchase we have ever made.

A mom/daugther trip on a cruise would be awesome if she is a teen. If she is younger, either option would be a great choice. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in the trip.

That said, I would do DVC and the parks. 4 day cruises just leave me wanting more. I loved the Member's cruise, I just wished it had been 7 days. Just as you get into cruise mode, it is time to start packing up to leave. :( But that is me and my family.

I love DVC, but in my book, nothing (as inNOT A THING) compares to my trip on DCL - most relaxing vacation I have ever had - granted I haven't been on a lot of vacations, but still.
If you own DVC, and it's a regular thing, or even if you've done Disney before and never cruised, I would definitely do the cruise just for something different.
