DCL food that you know you shouldn't love...but you do!

This thread is the reason why I gained weight on my last cruise! :) I would definitely have to say those hashbrowns (which are very similar to McDonald's and sometimes I need to give in to that craving), the Banana Ice Cream, and of course, Mickey Waffles. Those are my main vices on a Disney Cruise. I'm back on weight watchers so I can lose weight before our cruise next August! :mickeybar

Bumping....

Been craving DCL goodies this week. I want a chicken finger! a Mocha Experience from the Cove Cafe! and the that oh so yummy little apple crumb muffin from Palo Brunch!

What have you been craving that you love so much but know you shouldn't
Do you mean the moka experience? I've been googling it looks amazing!

I was walking around Deck 4 of the Disney Fantasy on my cruise about 5 years ago and saw a young boy run up to a display case near the Vista Cafe. I had no idea at the time that you could just help yourself to the treats there. I looked at what the boy had grabbed and it looked chocolatey so I thought I'd try it as well. The chocolate chip fudge squares or whatever they are called were sooooo good. I may or may not have cleared the cabinet a time or two of whatever existing supply they had there during my cruise. 😗🎶

YES. I have a picture of it over on the food picture thread. I has so many liquors in it and OMG it is so good. I shared it with a friend and I am glad I did it was so rich and filling.

there is almost no info about this on the internet. I found a reference to it in someone's trip report.

I would have no one to share with though so I am just going to have to suffer though having it myself, lol

It had a bunch of different liquors, Godiva and Bailys I think plus 3-5 more. I lost count. Plus they whip cream with some liquor plus the coffee. They served a truffle on the side. Now Deck 4 had a different one (the one that originally started in the Cove on deck 11) last November but I never got it. It was the one with a Large chocolate ball that they poured the coffee over/into I believe. Next trip I will see if they still offer it and give it a try.

Thanks for the tip @Dug720 . I know you can't get it at brunch (we've done that several times) and it is one of the reasons I want to try Palo for dinner. Sylvio our server at Palo the last 4 or 5 times begs us to book dinner - he tells us he wants to indulge us and provide us with the full experience. :flower1: When we saw him last he told us he is scheduled to be onboard during our next cruise - so he will finally get his chance, and I am so looking forward to it. We will do brunch next trip as well too.
On our Dream cruise in June they only had brunch on a CC day (double dip) so we did dinner. It was amazing! I did not get the espresso gelato as I'm not a coffee type fan but the souffle was to die for. Everything was wonderful (scallops were SO YUMMY) and the service was impeccable. We will probably do brunch again on our Fantasy trip next June but so glad we gave dinner a try!

Today I am craving the Grape and Gorgonzola flat bread from Palo brunch. They took it off the menu, but still make it upon request. The one on the left was the goat cheese and sun dried tomato

There's just something about the breakfast sausages at Cabanas I adore! (Great, now my mouth is watering uncontrollably!)

These are up there for me as well. They're just a bit thicker than a standard US "breakfast link" which lets them be a lot juicier. I think there's a bit more filler, which again is a bit more to hold the moisture. I once had an "Irish breakfast sausage" from the grocery specialty section that was fairly close to this. Not sure how Irish it was in reality. But it was good.

Generally I do "hobbit breakfast:"sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes.

Oh YUM -

Double order of french fries from Towmaters Grill dipped in barbecue sauce.
The greasy but delicious hash brown patties from Cabanas with capers and Hollandaise sauce on top.

Can't wait to sail this Christmas!

Oh my. That sounds really different. Not a combination that would have ever occurred to me. To be honest, my first instinct was “no way”. But I think I may have to try it.

I discovered the muesli on our second cruise and it does not matter how much bacon and eggs find their way on my plate I definitely make room for it and some fresh fruit. Of course if there is room left a donut!

I found it on my last cruise. I now make my own at home. Do you get the one near the oatmeal or the one behind the case by the yogurt smoothies mixed with yogurt. I get the one mixed with the yogurt. Last cruise after I tried it my girlfriend and I got it every morning for breakfast.

I got the one by the oatmeal and I have to be honest I only saw it because I followed my youngest son to grab a cereal box for him and I thought comfort food from when I was his age and whoa what is this muesli? LOL
Now the one mixed with yogurt I have at home often or pack for work.

I will have to try that one next time.

Oh how I wish I had a salted caramel coconut latte with an extra shot from the Cove Cafe on this dreary Monday morning
