We have a bunch of FCC leftover as onboard credit. Yay! That's exciting- except for the fact that the credit is done per person. So apparently my own, and my husbands funds got applied to our future sailing- the remainder is left in guest number 3' s name, my son who is under age 18!

Does anyone know if once onboard we will be able to switch those funds? Apparently they are linked with his castaway number...

What other ideas?? Just use his card for my shopping?? Haha. I am talking quite a big amt that we have in his name.

As parents we paid for the cruise, I am surprised the funds don't just go to the "stateroom"....

Anyone else realize this, and what are your plans?!

Use his card for shopping.

He can get the non-alcoholic drink of the day every night at dinner. He can buy the drinks from Olaf's on CC (or the snow cones, but Olaf's drinks are better). He can buy the non-alcoholic smoothies/drinks on deck next to the ice cream machines. And if you're on the Dream/Fantasy he can buy lots of fancy ice cream and treats at Vanellope's/Sweet on You. And popcorn. Lots and lots of popcorn.popcorn::

For non-food items, he could do the BBB depending on his age. And as the PP said, he can use his card in the shops and buy items for anyone.

Lots of good ideas- thanks! Too much for him to spend on drinks, and he'll be 18 by the time we do our transatlantic next May.
I am thinking he will be taking mom for a lot of shopping trips.... that 125% credit sure did work out for us !!
Our cruise cost less, and we got twice as many days - (well almost!!)
And still a lot of extra funds....they just landed left in his name ⚓
Love DCL- what a difference as compared to how other lines are handling things!

As long as you are in one stateroom, as far as I know, they are all in one big bucket. When you get your bill, they are billed/credited under various names, but they should still all pull from the stateroom account as a whole. I don't think you need to worry about using the funds specifically in HIS name vs. YOURS.

That would be ideal- especially since we pay for his account anyhow !,
so we will see-
The DCL Chat option rep told me it was specifically to his name and his castaway # - that is what she said when i asked about merging it all to the stateroom - Ugghhhh. May have to wait to talk to guest services onboard?!!

We always book 2 connecting cabins for our family of 4. Me and DH in one, young adult sons in the other. We have booked several times where we got the $200 OBC from Disney - one for our cabin and one for theirs. I always have Disney link their account to ours and all their charges go to our stateroom account. Their OBC just gets merged with all the other charges. We have never had to purposely try to use their credit - it just all merges together.
