DCL ‘Walls’....

probably getting a picture with the funnel and the mickey head behind you

I had to look up the walls on google. I did not know there was such a thing. If I had to guess, to add to the above, on the ships, the Atrium statues, wall in front of the WDT, that has Walt on it. In the terminal, the Mickey ears funnel, and also on CC the old planes that are on the runway, and the fish statue, that is behind the ship on the island.

Then there is always Wall-E. After eight cruises I haven't seen him on three of the four ships.

Thanks.... I know there were some fun Walls when I did Dream in 2016 and Wonder last year... doing the Dream again this fall and as an AP and fan of a few Disney instagrams I’ve been sucked into wall coulture so I didn’t know if DCL had any official #s

There's Pepe's door on the 5th floor... Fantasy, anyway, not sure about the other ships. But be quiet when you do it... Pepe (or the people in the room behind it) might be taking a nap.

Ok, so I have to ask, what is the Wall thing? Is it walls that are decorated in a special way, or is there more to it than just that? Not sure if this would count, but the Fantasy(and probably the Dream, but don't know for sure because I haven't been on it) has 2 walls on Deck 3 that are decorated with tiles that are scenes from Cinderella.

Thanks for the link, that's so cool. I had to laugh at the purple wall though, I could take a pic of my dd in her bedroom and it would look like it! I think there are a lot of cooler places on the ships that could fit this type of thing. There's a neat British phone booth in the Crown and Fin pub (adult club) on the Wonder. In fact there are a ton of cool items on the ships, especially in the adult clubs that make for great photo backdrops. (not all are walls, though, so does that still count?) We always get our pic with the atrium statues and with the characters that hang on the outside of the aft part of the ship. I love the huge tile mosaic in the back of Tritons also, always take a pic of my dd in front of it.

I had no idea this was a thing (just like I had no idea "bounding" was a thing) - but it just goes to show that everything is a thing these days :D

I had to look up "bounding" the first time I saw it. I still don't understand why it's called that.

Check out the public restrooms near Europa on th Fantasy....no, really! Floor-to-ceiling gold mosaic...

I know taking a camera into a bathroom is strange/weird/creepy (bordering on illegal), but on the DCL ships I have done it because the not-too-hidden Mickey mirrors are just too cool to pass up. There are unique walls with mosaics all over the place, great backdrops for family photos. The three new ships should be awesome...many new walls to work with...what/who will they feature??? I still vote for Wall-E...a natural.

The first time we sailed on the Fantasy my 8 yr old dd loved going into all the bathrooms to see what they would look like. She was greatly disappointed in the bathrooms on the Wonder, since they are all very similar. I always carry my phone with me while on the ship. A lot of times during the day there's no one in the adult club bathrooms, so it's a good time to take a quick photo. I don't take pics if others are in them, just feel silly doing it, but don't care if others do.
