Hey everyone! We had the chance to ride Tower of Terror at DCA on Sunday and we posted our review over at Westcoaster.net.

I'm going to post the link mainly because there were a lot of things said about the ride and our TR that I felt you all might find VERY interesting. Not because I'm trying to drum up business for the site!

If it's not cool to post a link to another board, I understand, and please delete it!

I will say that I for one did not think this version was an improvement over the Florida version. A very good ride, yes, but not better.

A good amount of our comparisons are in the TR and the responses. I found it interesting how overly protective the Californian's are about thier ride. Much more so than I've noticed in Florida over something like Mission: Space, for example. It seems like you can't say ANYTHING critical without them jumping down your throat! Even though overall we said we really enjoyed the ride!

I hope you all enjoy reading and find it interesting!

ps. I also posted this in the TR board since I wasn't too sure where it belonged - I hope that's ok.

^ Your Welcome! I really thought the discussion about the "hallway" was most interesting. I had no idea you didn't walk RIGHT into the elevator ride vehicle like you do in the Florida version.

That right there seemed SO weird to me. Not sure if it's just because I'm so used to the WDW version or because it made the ride vehicle feel dis-jointed from the rest of the ride.

It was fun to compare the two, but the DCA one really made me miss the WDW version.

And I won't be back to WDW until Oct! :(

The drop sequence was really good, but it was so weird having the drop sequence in the same shaft as the show rooms. And I REALLY missed that cool "Door opening" effect you see at the end of the 5th dimension.
