Does anyone know if it would be cheaper to book a basic plan package w/ a DC discount? Or should I book a room only reservation and hope for a good code? This is for May 2003.

I think for that time of year, you will get better rates booking room only. Typical discounts for that time of year are 30 - 40% off rack rates (that being regular season). I think the DC discount is only 20%. You can still use DC to get a discount on your park tickets. Hope this helps!:D

Plus the cancellation policy & deposit rules are better than with DC.

Thanks for the advice. I just sent in my info to Dreams Unlimited and I am waiting for my quote. This is the first time I've used DU so hopefully it goes ok. With them watching for the best codes available, I'm hoping to get a pretty good rate. I know codes don't come out for May until next year, but I'm sure I'll be able to get a better rate than I'll start out with.

Hey Beast,

I'm going May of 2003 also. We went in May of 2001 and stayed at PO Riverside at a rate of $89 per night. I too initially booked with DC and then realized I'd do better with a room only package.

I've already booked us into the AKL for May of 2003. I know there were several codes out last year for May, so I'm hoping the same will hold true for 2003.

I usually love to research everything myself. Never gave a thought to DU. What sent you their way?

lizzie64,
There's a lot of talk about DU on this board because, well, it's their board. Everyone says how wonderful they are and the fact that they take care of everything made me want to try them. They watch for codes that give you the cheapest rate possible and will apply it to your reservation. They also set up an itenerary and any priority seatings you need. I actually just got my quote back from them for the AS Movies at $99/night. This is the rack rate so I know it will get better when the codes come out next year. I may even move to a moderate if the rates are low enough. If you're interested, you might check out their web page.
