I am so frustrated that I, as a Disney Club member, am not entitled to the $50 onboard credit that cash paying people get. They explained it to me that DVC people are already getting a discount. I should have sold points and taken the money and paid cash for the cruise. I would have been much better off. Just a word to the wise.

There is an onboard credit of $50 for people with Disney Visas if they don't all tear them up first.;)

edit: OOOPs sorry, that's IF you pay with your Disney Visa. Guess you're right, if you pay with points they don't give it to you. Sorry!:(

I don't think so....

And I ditto that sentiment.....discounts...not. I'd be happy to have anyone explain this *discount* program. It is frustrating.

I just got my AAA newspaper and they are offering specials on Disney cruises. The example they have is 7/26, 7 nights, Eastern, brochure rate $2,024, AAA rate $1,489, including air, ppdo. Doesn't say what category.

I don't suppose the rates are broken down in to cruise cost with fees ect. and air. I've seen cat. 10-11 advertised for around 799.00ppdo...interesting to get the category this ad is referring to. I'm always leary of package deals.

What discount are they talking about? The one where CRO will rent your points out for more than the cruise will cost?

Sounds like Disneyspeak for "To bad so sad".....we've got your DVC points and know if you cancel, you'll be the big loser.

This is another good example of how Disney views DVCers as a captive audience who will have to accept any BS rules they throw at us.

Just chalk it up to a "points" lesson learned and don't let it affect your trip.

People, people, people ........

We are red-headed step-children! When are you going to learn that we get NO discounts! We booked a cruise with points (learned our lesson and will never do that), but paid cash for our DD. We wanted the on-board credit and they told us that we already receive a discount (right) and are not entitled to the on-board credit. I stood my ground and disagreed with them, I explained that the adults paid with points and DD's ticket was paid with cash. Are you ready for this one ?????

We won! They gave us the on-board credit, I nearly fainted!

I'm tired of losing all the benefits. When we joined we had so many perks, but over the years they have been taking them away.
