DC discount came out, can I get refund if I already booked?

has anyone done this? I booked back in August for February. Now there is a discount... would LOVE some cash back!

Prices are per person, plus tax. Offer only valid on bookings Now — Dec 20, 2010 for visits in 2011. Not valid on previously booked reservations or in combination with other offers. Dates subject to availability. Blackout dates apply (April 11-15, July 5 - August 14). Other restrictions may apply.


THis is DC's Cancellation policy directly from there sight!




If you need to reschedule your Discovery Cove visit, one complimentary date change is allowed, pending availability. Bookings made within 3 days of original reservation date will be booked at the original rate. Books made outside of that time will be subject to change based on seasonal rates for the new date chosen. Please note: If you decide to cancel your Discovery Cove reservation within 30 days of your visit there is no refund. If the cancellation notice is provided more than 30 days from arrival, you will receive a full 100% refund. *Group booking policies may differ.

Can you provide some information on the discount? I have checked the discovery cove website and I don't see a new discount listed.

It was by email, not sure if we can share it on these boards or not! It was a discount, you had to book by Dec 22nd, 2010 for visits in 2011. I think it was $129 without the swim and $199 with the swim!

Thanks for the quick reply. My family is thinking of going in the first week in January and the prices are that when were thinking of going.

It's still a good price but the weather is what is holding us back.........

The weather is the evil thing isn't it! We went in February 2 years ago to Discovery Cove, we had one of the warmest days of our vacation, it was about 82. We booked to go again last year in March when we were there, just for the day and no dolphin swim, we had the worst weather possible for a DC day. It was cold, and we had 2 days of torrential downpours, it sucked! We were able to go that morning, and ask if we could change the day, and the told us, we would have to pay the difference in price (we got a good price up til the 13th of March with the rescue the reef promo, price went up after the 13th) it was going to cost us another $200 which I didn't have many days to change cause I only had 3 more days of vacay, they were good, and extended it for a year, so we are going back March of this year! Good luck!

It depends on how far out you are. I did rebook and the second to last day I could last spring for our DC day. What we had to do was completely cancel the one reservation and the book the new one completely differently. The big hassle was that it took weeks to get the refund on the first reservation!
