Daytona beach hotel

We are driving to Disney from SC and leaving a day early and need a nice but cheap hotel to stay on 3/20 on the way down and 3/28 on the way home.

Can anyone suggest a place?

We like the Holiday Inn Express in Orange City. The Daytona hotels and motels tend to be abused by the spring breakers, so they tend to not be in the best of condition.

Staying on the beach? There is a quaint little place called Beach House Motel.....only has 10 rooms.....but very nice little place. Cheap too!

I booked one last yr. from hotels.com & it was a dump. I called them argued for days with them & finally got my $$ back 2 wks. after our trip. Be careful. We ended up staying near the Daytona speedway-LaQuinta Inn I believe. I think it was about $69-$79 per night. It was clean.

There are several really good hotels by the speedway. The Hilton is right there and it's great. On the west side of I-95, there are hotels that are not quite as nice...

Daytona Beach is only about 1 1/2 hours from WDW. Are you going to spend some time at the beach or to get a night's sleep before going to the parks?
I would drive the rest of the way and just extend your stay where ever you are staying at WDW.
And for the drive home I would do a non-stop.
I live in CT and make the drive to WDW at least once a year. I drive straight through between 17 and 20 hours depending on the traffic. The thought of driving from SC to WDW sounds like a drive around the block to me.
