I wonder why we've never seen the woman who Zach was spending the night with? Don't you think she'd have been around saying she was so sorry and Hope would have been a little upset with her? I mean, I know kids can wander, but it's like she doesn't exist.

I knew Mimi was just dreaming when she told them about Claire. I didn't think Belle and Shawn would be so cruel to just leave Philip and Mimi standing there while they ran off to be with Claire. It's frustrating though, that secret really needs to come out.

From the previews it looks like Lois is going to implicate John as the one who hurt her. Of course John will be arrested and then Marlena will finally figure out Alex is bad, but it will be too late for John to rescue her

Could it be a DAY'S exec is a Diser? Picked up a Soap Opera Digest only because it said Hope may be leaving...but found a little side note in there that said Calliope is returning Now, it's not been too long since some of us suggested it would be great to have Calliope back...would liven things up...and lo and behold...she's gonna come in as the wedding planner for Mimi & Shawn's wedding. Remember when she had the doggy wedding? Wonder what quackiness she'll come up with for Meems and Shawn?

She was the comic relief a few years back. She wore the most incredible outfits and was wacky as all get out. Can anyone remember when she was on? I've been watching forever, so I can't recall the dates.

Hmm, I can't remember the exact dates. Dr. Horton was still alive...some of the funniest scenes were when Calliope interacted with Dr. Horton. Calliope and Eugene gave us wonderful comic relief. I wonder if they'll bring up Eugene when she returns?

I've read a rumor that Kristen DiMeara may return.. I think Eileen Davidson who plays Ashley Abbott on Y & R played Kristen on Days. I've heard Ashley Abbott is going to jail.. that could lead her back to KD on Days, maybe...

Anybody heard anything on this?

Interesting note on that site I posted the link to. If you look down past the details of the characters, there is a box with what looks like ALL past and present characters. If you click on a specific name, it will give you a history of the character and who played them. Let me tell you, some of those names I hadn't heard since grade school back in the 70's......you'll get a migrane figuring them all out!!!

Maybe Days is copying General Hospital-bring back old characters from the 80's. I guess the 80's was suppose to be very good years for soaps.

Days is so tiring-I cannot believe how much airtime they give to Chelsea. There are so many other great characters.

Honestly though-Hope did a great job this last month, but her and Bo have seemed to loose their chemistry. I really wonder which direction the writers are going with those two. (I just hope that they don't make Hope into Princess Gina again-but Princess Gina at least had some backbone).

I haven't watched today's episode yet but I am still confused about the wacky weather in Salem yesterday. It was snowing on Belle, Shawn, and Billie in the beginning. When Bo got to the cemetery, it was raining, however Belle and Shawn were dry. By the end of the show it was snowing again on Bo and Billie, and Belle came in with snow in her hair. It doesn't snow here so I suppose it's possible. Just seemed a little odd to me!

Calliope came to Salem in 1984 and was employed in Liz Curtis' clothing business. Calliope soon came to possess a diamond necklace which was originally owned by Daphne DiMera. Calliope claimed it as her own, but didn't realize that Stefano was after it, for it contained one of three prisms Stefano DiMera was after.

In 1984 Alex, Anna, and Tony picked Haiti for a photo shot for their newly formed fashion company. On board the plane flying to Haiti was Eugene Bradford, Calliope Jones, Bo Brady, Hope Williams, Anna DiMera, Liz Chandler, Carlo, Daphne DiMera, Andre DiMera, and Tony DiMera. On the way to Haiti Andre DiMera surprisingly popped up, and when he threatened the pilot to change his course the pilot died of a heart attack, and the plane crashed on a remote island. As a result of the plane crash Daphne DiMera died in Andre's arms. When Tony learned about this the to fought, and Andre met his demise in a patch of quicksand. Tony gave the necklace with the prism to and island girl, but Stefano managed to get the prism back. Roman Brady showed up, and fought with Stefano atop of a nearby cliff as Bo watched from below. Roman eventually fell, and died on the beach in Bo's arms. When Bo left Roman to get help, Roman's body was gone when he returned. Eventually the Coast Guard arrived, and everyone was rescued.

In 1985 Eugene and Calliope Jones became engaged, however their engagement hit a roadblock. In order for Eugene to collect his inheritance he had to marry a rich and high class woman. Calliope faked the part well, and Eugene was allowed to marry her. However, most of Eugene's inheritance had already been spent by his extravagant mother. If his mother was discovered she could face a jail sentence, so in order to help her Eugene married the wealthy Madeline Rutherford, and also took a job at the paper Salem Today writing a "Dear Abbey" like column under the name Bettina Lovelorn. To pass as Bettina Eugene had to dress up in drag often. Eventually Bettina's true identity was revealed, and he was fired and sued for fraud. Madeline left Eugene, and with what little money Eugene had left, Eugene and Calliope married on Dec 31, 1985.

In 1986, shortly after their marriage, Eugene disappeared along with a time machine he was working on. Eugene returned in 1989 and hid in Kimberly Donovan's basement. Eugene had traveled into the future and built an android version of Calliope, which he brought back to the present. Eugene and Calliope were finally reunited, but men from the future came seeking Eugene's Calliope android and inadvertently took the real Calliope captive by mistake. Eugene managed to free Calliope and the two settled back down. Eugene hasn't been seen since then.

Calliope hosted a daytime talkshow which Jennifer Horton Devereaux appeared on as her co-host. Eventually Calliope left Salem and turned her talkshow over to Jennifer.

Did anyone think that Peter Reckell's performance the last few days at the gravesite were up there with Kristian's when Zack died? I thought he did an awesome job of finally showing his grief...........

Ok, having Hope show up when Billie and Bo are in bed is so lame.......how many times????? can this happen??? and why did Billie have to do that?? LOL

I really KNOW the answers to my own questions here....

You have to wonder how many of us, if tuning in to DAY's for the first time, would actually continue watching. Most of us remember the the DAY's of yesterday, when the show was awesome, and we watch now because we know these characters. The writers of DAY's need a reality check. DAY's wasn't nominated for any awards this year...but it would have been if they had a "Bad Storyline" award IMHO, they need to introduce new characters to take us into a new generation. We LOVE Alice Horton, but obviously she isn't able to do what she once did. Why not intoduce a new family...say a neighbor who is an older quirky lady with a family who grew up with the Hortons and add some spice to this show. They've played out the characters until there isn't much left to do but rehash old storylines. If I were writing, I'd introduce Hope's best friend, who has been there growing up next to the Horton family and can help Hope through this tough time in her life. Give us some new characters who will add depth to the Horton family, while giving a new direction for the show. Bringing back Caliope is great, but why not bring in Calliope and Eugene's son or daughter(let's assume they had one), all grown up and as quacky/ lovable as their parents were . Ah, the things a good writer good do...

If they show one more cliff hanger that is just a tease-I am going to scream. Days has a problem with finishing their stories. What happened to Jack, where has Roman been the last couple of weeks. This is February sweeps and the only thing they had was Zach getting killed and that was NYE-since when is NYE in February. I wonder if the writers even care that it is suppose to be a sweep month.
