Days Inn Cocoa

Has anyone stayed at the Days Inn at Cocoa? This is not at Cocoa Beach but Cocoa, FL. Due to finding a cheaper rate on Expedia.com than Daysinn.com for the night before our cruise, we are getting the room at Days Inn for free. So I was wondering if anyone has stayed here and has any opinions or advice. Thank you in advance.

Don't know about the Days Inn, but for our last cruise, we were at the Best Western in Cocoa. It was located right off the interstate near a truck stop. Compared to staying at the Best Western Space Shuttle Inn in Titusville, the area was a bit more on the seedy side of town. Given that I usually stay in Titusville for the same money, be within walking distance of a WalMart, and I'm just as far away from the port, I don't plan on staying in Cocoa City for future cruises.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but this is very interesting...How far are you from the Wal-mart? I have often thought of this, but never did it!!!!

When we stayed in Cocoa City, the Wal-mart was about 1/2 way to Cocoa Beach.

When we stay in Titusville, the Wal-mart parking lot is a distance of about 1 city block away from the Best Western. However, the down side is that the last time we were there, there were not any sidewalks. You wind up having to walk in the grass and cross a 4 lane high way without a cross signal. But traffic is light enough that that isn't a problem.

I am one for promoting local business, but I have to agreed that for convience etc, if you need less expensive lodging, I would go for Titusville -
You have Best Western at 321-269-9100, Comfort Inn 321-267-4211, Days Inn at Kennedy Space Center- 321-269-4480, Hampton Inn 321-383-9191,
Holiday Inn 321-269-2121, and then if you want to include golf there is Royal Oaks Resort and Golf Club -----hope that this will help some.
