we have just comeback from florida and am desperate for a disney fix lol

my birthday is in december so i was thinking of going for the day but am not sure

i am not overly fussed aboutdisney studios and was going to book a lovely lunch somewhere - i have been at different times of the year to paris but never seen the christmas things

would it be better to get a direct train from ashford or go indirect and then maybe be able to leave earlier and come back later ??

we could also go from ebbsfleet or london

any thoughts gratefully recieved x

I think it depends on how long you'll be underway. We went for a day and for us Paris is three hours away and it was well worth it.
We got there nicely before opening time and stayed as long as possible before getting a dinner at Annette's.

We took one of the kids for his 3rd birthday last November just as the Christmas stuff started. As Aurynn said it will depend on travel time to get there how feasible it is for you. If you start real early you may be too tired to enjoy Park properly later in the day.

We didn't do a day trip it was more like 1.5 days. We flew in and then got TGV from CDG. We got good deal on Magic Circus so checked in but that evening just went to Disney Village and enjoyed hotel pool.

The next day we had breakfast, checked out, left bags at Park lockers and enjoyed day in Disneyland, saw lights get turned on and then got bags and then TGV back to airport for evening flight home. We did both Studios and Park and it wasn't too busy (was at weekend), and did everything we had planned.

If you can get a good one night hotel deal this may be an alternative to all travel in one day.

We've also done similar using airport hotels and TGV - flights may be cheaper than train, airport hotel may be cheaper although TGV may add a little cost back on.

Hope you get something sorted out.

I'd also try and get a cheap overnight deal but if it's not do-able then I'd definitely go indirect as the direct train doesn't arrive until 13:30pm. If you go indirect you'll be able to arrange it so that you get there for park opening - you can always come back direct to make it easier for you.

Happy planning! :wizard:

We looked into doing this last year and found it was actually cheaper to stay 2 nights in a disney hotel with park tickets included than it was to stay one night somewhere and buy 2 day park tickets.
