Determined to make today a better day than yesterday, we head over to the Studios with our trusty backpack and full tummies. I have taken two Dramamine, so I dare to start the day off with the Back to the Future ride. I DON'T GET SICK! It was marvelous! I remember as a young teenager getting sick on this ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. Now all I got was a little vertigo, which was quickly resolved. I immediately board Men in Black Alien Attack (which is a revved-up Buzz Lightyear ride, except you can't control your spinning) and again, love it. I might have had a better vacation had I done this three days ago! There aren't many rides at Universal Studios itself, so about 1pm, we have ridden everything there is, and taken a look around at all the movie stuff they have. Once again, the Universal Express is priceless. The only bad part is that they took out the Kong ride. I was looking forward to this, but have to make do with the Jaws ride and the EARTHQUAKE ride! It actually puts you in the middle of an 8.3 quake!
I'm feeling brave after lunch and a couple of more anti-nausea pills, so we head back over to IOA and yep, I get on the Dr. Doom ride! It is so much fun I decide I can ride Spiderman....and this time I keep my eyes open! The day ends on a great note with us both riding the Incredible Hulk "Hogan" and heading back to the hotel for a little nap.
Dinner is at the Hard Rock Cafe around 9:45, and Citywalk is absolutely fabulous! We stay at the Groove until around midnight, and head to Church Street downtown. There were tons of cool clubs within walking distance of each other, and guess what? Drinks weren't five bucks apiece! We paid less for two drinks there than we did for one at the Groove. Anyone headed to Church Street has got to check out Antigua! DJ Magic Mike is the bomb! We end up staying down there til 2:30am, then come back to Universal by way of Krystal, because you know you have to get chili cheese fries if you are up that late! This is by far the best day we have had so far, and we are glad we're ending up on a positive note.
