I heard mention of day rooms available at the Hyatt (I believe it was) at the airport. My family doesn't fly out until 3:00pm to go home and we have to get off the ship by 9:00am if I am correct. Is this hotel or others connected to the airport. And does anyone know how much this costs? Is pool access available with the room?:wave2:

The Hyatt Regency is located right inside the airport. It's very convenient. Yes, having a room there allows access to the pool. They are not currently advertising the Day Room on their web site, but folks have reported a rate of $75.

We stayed there this past Sat. at a rate of 75.00. Was able to eat breakfast and take a nap before our long rain delay ordeal of getting home. Was very glad we had done this as we didn't get home until close to midnight.

We used the day room at the Hyatt as well on our 5-1 cruise and it was wonderful! We arrived at the airport at 9 am and our flight didn't leave until 5:05. We had the limo driver check to see if we could check our luggage yet but they said not until 6 hours before the flight. He then took us down to the hotel entrance and unloaded our bags to a Hyatt bellman who gave us a ticket for our bags and told us they would keep them in the bell closet until we decided to go check in. When we wanted to go check in we just needed to call the bell service and they would haul it to the check in counter for us. We had daybags for the kids so they went and swam up on the pool deck and we ordered lunch out by the pool. It was nice and relaxing. After eating they swam some more and then we went back to the room to just relax on the bed. At 2 we called Bell Services and they took all of our luggage to the curbside check at Delta and since they know most of the curbside guys he was able to "bump" us up to the front of the line. We tipped him and he was off. Then we went back upstairs to rest up a little longer and then off to the gate and home! It was the ONLY way to survive a LONG delay with kids in the airport! The pool felt enormous after the small ship pools and they were the only ones in it for quite some time. We did a little shopping in the airport mall as well before we were through security and off to our gate! For us the $75.00 was worth every penny!

Like Aliwas, we stayed after our cruise. It was $75.00; included use of the pool, which we never used because we were all napping! We were at the airport (via the DCL bus) by 9:30am for a 5:30pm flight. I thought it was definately worth the money if you have no plans elsewhere for that day. A porter helped us with the bags from the bus dropoff over to the Hyatt desk (not very far but we were lazy by that point), and we didn't even take the checked luggage to the room, but asked them to hold it downstairs in their locked storeroom. We napped, showered and relaxed, then around 3pm we checked out and the porter from the hotel took our bags over to the JetBlue check-in area around the corner. It was all very easy.
