"Day Rate" at the Comfort Inn Suites?

I just called the Comfort Inn on Paradise Island and was told that they don't have day rates. However, I could swear that I read somewhere on these boards that they do have day rates.

Anyone know for sure??

We did this in 2002. There were posts that some people had spoken to a specific person there and he gave them a good deal. The word got out an people kept calling asking for the same thing and the guy got mad and wouldn't give anymore deals.

They don't actually call them 'day rates'. You have to book the regular room price. You can sometimes get a discount through like AAA and other avenues.

I can get a AAA rate for Dec 17 for 175.00 so am thinking maybe I'll go ahead and book a room. But, it lists check-in time as 3 PM and we can debark much earlier than that. Ideally I'd like to head over at about 11 and stay until 5 or so. Will Comfort Suites let me check in before 3? We really just want our access to Atlantis.

They do allow you to check in early however I would not waste your money. The Disney water parks are much cleaner, less expensive and much more fun. We did not enjoy our day at Atlantis at all. For the few hours we spent there it was way overpriced.

Just goes to show, different strokes for different folks. Our day at the Atlantis was the best part of the cruise for us - we liked it even better than Castaway Cay (which was a disappointment - but coming from San Diego we should have known better). We were able to have a nice lunch (don't want to start the whole bad food argument again here, but lets say we did not enjoy the food on board) and relax around beautiful pools, have fun on the slides, see all the aquariums, drop a few coins in the slots, etc. We never even saw the room at Comfort Suites - we got off the ship first thing, took a taxi to CS, checked in, got the paperwork necessary to obtain wrist bands at Atlantis and told them we would not be back to check out - just mail me the bill. We have since gone back to stay at the ATlantis.
