Day 4 Monday, May 2nd
Another Disney day!!
We headed on the bus from the Poly to AK early that morning. I just have to comment that it really bothers me when they group together the MK resorts on one bus. I know the reasoning behind it, but if youre shelling out $300, $400, $500 a NIGHT for your room you deserve your own bus.
Pop Century doesnt share, Coronado Springs doesnt share, Old Key West doesnt share, AKL doesnt share, so if any Disney bigwigs are reading this trip report please give the MK resorts their own individual buses! Even if theyre half empty sometimes, I think Disney can swing the expense. Surely our extremely high room rates can help pay. (off the soapbox)
Once at AK we did the Safari, Dinosaur (another first for ds-3), Primeval Whirl (just mommy and daddy on this one), and then had lunch at Restaurantasaurus. Actually, dh went and got our meals at Flame Tree BBQ and brought them down to Restaurantasaurus so the boys could have Happy Meals. All purchased with the dining plan. After lunch we hit Festival of the Lion King and Kali River Rapids. Not much to tell great day great weather you know the routine. So we headed back to Poly for swimming and rest before dinner.
That night we ate at 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner.
It wasnt really our first choice, but it was close to the Poly and on the dining plan so we figured wed try it. The food wasnt bad
it has improved from the last time we ate there for a Pooh dinner. The pasta station is a nice addition, and the desserts were good. Its of course heaven on earth for girls because of Cinderella, but our boys enjoyed it as well. Here they are
After dinner we went back to MK by monorail to hit a few more things in Fantasyland we didnt finish up yet. Heres the new Its a Small World notice the cool clock that opens up every 15 minutes and plays a cute song and dance. Pictures dont even do this new face lift justice. It was just like new and BEAUTIFUL!!!
And heres an actual picture of ME because I ASKED dh to take one of me!
(Gee thanks honey!!) Pictures of me are quite rare on family trips because I am the official photographer and videographer. I dont mind doing it, but its nice to remember I was there too sometimes.
After riding Goofys Barnstormer and another stop at Stitchs Great Escape for the boys we took the boat back to the Poly during Wishes, which was a nice ending to the night.
That boat from MK is the #1 plus to staying at the Poly in my opinion. Its just so easy to get back and forth, and easy to go back for breaks. HOORAY for the Poly!!!!!
