Day 4 – Monday, May 2nd

Another Disney day!! ;) We headed on the bus from the Poly to AK early that morning. I just have to comment that it really bothers me when they group together the MK resorts on one bus. I know the reasoning behind it, but if you’re shelling out $300, $400, $500 a NIGHT for your room you deserve your own bus. :sad2: Pop Century doesn’t share, Coronado Springs doesn’t share, Old Key West doesn’t share, AKL doesn’t share, so if any Disney bigwigs are reading this trip report please give the MK resorts their own individual buses! Even if they’re half empty sometimes, I think Disney can swing the expense. Surely our extremely high room rates can help pay. (off the soapbox)

Once at AK we did the Safari, Dinosaur (another first for ds-3), Primeval Whirl (just mommy and daddy on this one), and then had lunch at Restaurantasaurus. Actually, dh went and got our meals at Flame Tree BBQ and brought them down to Restaurantasaurus so the boys could have Happy Meals. All purchased with the dining plan. After lunch we hit Festival of the Lion King and Kali River Rapids. Not much to tell… great day… great weather… you know the routine. So we headed back to Poly for swimming and rest before dinner. :sunny:

That night we ate at 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner. :wizard: It wasn’t really our first choice, but it was close to the Poly and on the dining plan so we figured we’d try it. The food wasn’t bad… it has improved from the last time we ate there for a Pooh dinner. The pasta station is a nice addition, and the desserts were good. It’s of course heaven on earth for girls because of Cinderella, but our boys enjoyed it as well. Here they are…

After dinner we went back to MK by monorail to hit a few more things in Fantasyland we didn’t finish up yet. Here’s the new It’s a Small World… notice the cool clock that opens up every 15 minutes and plays a cute song and dance. Pictures don’t even do this new “face lift” justice. It was just like new and BEAUTIFUL!!! :goodvibes

And here’s an actual picture of ME because I ASKED dh to take one of me! :rotfl2: (Gee thanks honey!!) Pictures of me are quite rare on family trips because I am the official photographer and videographer. I don’t mind doing it, but it’s nice to remember I was there too sometimes. :teeth:

After riding Goofy’s Barnstormer and another stop at Stitch’s Great Escape for the boys we took the boat back to the Poly during Wishes, which was a nice ending to the night. :cloud9: That boat from MK is the #1 plus to staying at the Poly in my opinion. It’s just so easy to get back and forth, and easy to go back for breaks. HOORAY for the Poly!!!!! :cheer2:

This looks like fun Erika!! Love the photo of the boys with the prince! Very cute!! :)

Great trip report - but I want to stomp my foot because *I* cant see the boys and the Prince... :sad2:

Same here, loving the report, but can't see the pics. Not sure why because I've been seeing others' pics... oh well.

:confused3

Thanks for the reports

Sorry guys... I exceeded my bandwith for today... too many hits... so the pics won't come back until after midnight. Sorry!!! Try back then or early tomorrow. :)

Great pic, Erika.:) I'm the official photographer too. I make people seasick when I try to be videographer though.:p I try to stand behind the videographer.:p

I've never seen Prince Charming up close. My dd's always wanted to meet him at WDW. He's always hiding. I'll have to show her this pic to show that he actually exists.;)

That Prince Charming was an interesting guy. ;) DH tried to crack a couple of jokes with him about Cinderella but he wasn't going along too well. :teeth:

We also had Prince Charming at the Mother's Day Brunch. More on that for my day 9 report! ;)
