Day Four of the Much Needed February Trip All four Parks in one Day!
The Cast:
Carol, fellow Disney nut, sometimes needs a wheelchair
Michael, 13 Carols nephew
Me, tour guide, addicted to Disney
Grant, 14, my son, and Disney pal
Up and at em early were hitting all four parks today!
Wow we really did it! We walked into MK just after opening. Carol was in need of an ECV today, so while she was getting that, the boys took off for Splash and Big Thunder. We said wed meet them there.
Carol got her ECV quickly, then found several pin traders. I told her I was going on back to Splash to meet the boys, and would see her back there. Ive never been alone in any of the parks I wasnt quite sure how to act! I decided to take the train back to save my feet. Besides, I enjoy the train ride. Made it back to Splash and walked right on . Got off and checked for the boys - nowhere in sight, so I rode Splash again. Im beginning to like being by myself, and finding out I CAN enjoy Disney World by myself! Got off Splash the second time, still no Carol or boys, so I walked over to Big Thurnder, walked right on it, too! When I came of BTMR, Carol and boys had just arrived. We all did both rides together, then headed over to Fantasyland. We found out that wheelchairs in Fantasyland get no special privileges youre given a pass and a time to come back like a fast-pass. I wanted to ride Peter Pan (havent for about 7 years). We were given a pass to come back in an hour and a half. We decided to catch an early lunch at Pinnochios. I was hoping to eat outside on the deck, but we opted instead to eat inside overlooking Its a Small World.
Poor Grant, he really dislikes that song, and was not pleased about having to watch that ride during lunch. He really hates it when that song gets stuck in his head. Lunch done, we ride Peter Pan.
The boys went ahead to check on Space Mountain unfortunately, the fast passes were gone, and wait time was about 90 minutes.
We monorailed over to Epcot. I know we spent some time there, but right now I cant remember exactly what we did.
We headed out of Epcot, to Animal Kingdom. We picked up Dinosaur, ITTBAB, and settled in to watch the Jammin Jungle parade (pin trading all the way). IMHO, the Jamming Jungle parade is one of Disneys best. I love the music, and listen to it a lot. Yes, the parade route is narrow, but I really felt a part of it, being so up close and personal.
From Animal Kingdom, we went to the Studios to catch Fantasmic. Luckily, Carol was able to transfer her ECV rental to one at MGM. They only had one left, and said they would hold it for just an hour. We scurried over there, and basically went right into Fantasmic. The wheelchair section is on top. Good view and the CMs handling the crowds up there were great. It did get somewhat windy and chilly, though. I sent Grant down to buy us ponchos to cut the wind. We may have looked silly, but we were warm! We all very much enjoyed Fantasmic.
Back to the condo fairly early tonight packing what we can to make tomorrow easier.
