Day at Sea boiling hot since ship just parked at sea - 4-Night Bahamian from Port Canaveral

Just got off the Dream 4-night. Not exactly what you picture when you think of a day at sea CRUISING. The ship was idle not moving until around 11am and then went at a snails pace barely moving after 11am. This created no breeze which you normally get from real cruising so the deck was extremely hot with stagnant air. This was not the experience that we paid for. It was extremely hot with no air so felt like a concrete jungle floating on the water. We spent a lot of money for a suite to enjoy the balcony on the day at sea. Not sure if this is a recent change by DCL. They should take a longer arch in the route home or go in some figure-eights so they can have speed with some breeze. Like getting on a roller coaster just to sit their parked in the heat or telling someone you are going for a drive and sitting in the car parked in the boiling heat. This was not cruising and I will never do this 4-night with DCL again.
Is this a joke? You went to the Caribbean in summer. Sometimes it is windy, sometimes it rains, sometimes there may be a tropical storm, sometimes it’s super hot. You honestly expect the ship to go in a figure 8 to generate a breeze?

We noticed the same thing on our May 2-6 cruise. Fortunately, it was not too hot. It was more that we missed that sailing on a ship through the ocean ambience (breeze from the ship's movement missing and no waves splashing against the ship). We assumed it was due to fuel costs. Just one of those things. Cruise was still great.

That would be awful. A day at sea means actual cruising not standing still. The last time I was on the Magic, a few years ago, we cruised to Castaway Cay and met the sister ship and they cruised together for a while. That was a fun sea day. Guess things were different then.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the OP to expect the ship to be moving on a sea day , who wants to sit on a parked ship 100 miles offshore in 90 degree heat ? This isn’t a fishing trip. I get the environmental impact but I hope no one believes that’s the reason they do this
