Our flight is getting in at 7pm on May 17, the last day of Flower and Garden Fest. I want to see the topiaries, mostly, and I don't care about F&G shows or anything...will most of the topiaries still be up on the 18th, or should I hurry and try to get to Epcot before 9pm so I can go in and take some photos? I wasn't sure if they'd remove all the flowers overnight the night of the 17th or not?

Some of the topiaries will be removed after EPCOT closes for the night. They slowly disappear each day after the Festival end. All of the lagoon landscaping changes back to grass. We go at the end of the Festival each year and stay the following week. By the time we head home on the Friday after the Festival--you wouldn't know it happened. ::sad1:

Almost everything will be taken out overnight.

How are you planning to get to Epcot? Unless you're renting a car, I don't think you'll be able to make it.

You should still see the majority of the topiaries and most of the flowers the day after the festival ends. We've been there several times within a week or so after the festival officially ended and the only thing we noticed was that the special play areas were closed or removed and the festival booths were closed or in the process of being removed.

i don't think you are going to make it unless you have a car, and even then you will be pushing it to get there before Epcot closes.

You're right, we'd be hard pressed to make it to Epcot in time. I thought maybe if the stars aligned and DME went quickly, we might be able to make it in the gates right around 9pm and I could take photos during Illuminations. But I think I'll just wait until the next day and hope I can still see a few F&G Fest things. :) Thanks for your help!

I was there on the last day and day after last year or maybe two years ago (can't remember which!), but the only topiary I noticed that was missing the next day was the Lady and the Tramp at the Italy pavilion. It was set up on the sidewalk area in containers so I guess it made it easy to remove. The special play areas and exhibits like the butterfly tent were shut down the next day.
