Day 9 Sunday, October 9 & Day 10 Monday, October 10
Our last park day at Disney World. We were all tired & a little cranky from commando touring for 9 days so I didn’t go through the “last day at WDW” blues like in past trips. Today was our family magic tour & boy was that a blast! We got to MK at opening & did Buzz a few times, Stitch (wasn’t bad), & took pictures with Stitch. My Dh pointed out that we could also go inside to see Mike & Sully, & the Incredibles but we had to be at City Hall by 9:45 for the tour so unfortunately we missed them. We checked in & got Peter Pan name badges. Our tour guide “David Logan” was wonderful. He told the kids that he wanted them to clean up the park for the morning, so he handed them clothes to shine up the hand rails & benches..My kids were serious & went straight to work. I knew what was going to happen but the kids didn’t (& if you don’t want to know & keep it as a surprise stop reading this!)

Just then David Logan is called away by the “Big Cheese” so the kids keep cleaning. He comes back a few minutes later with a map & says he has been chosen by Mickey to help find Cap’t Hook’s hook that has been stolen by Peter Pan. If we don’t find it by 12pm the pirates will come & take over the park & change all the rides to pirate rides… So we go from clue to clue & place to place being silly & having a great time when David Logan brings us to a wooded area to look for the hook & out of the woods pops Peter Pan & Wendy! My kids were so surprised but I had my camera ready! Peter took time to talk to the kids, take pictures, & goof around. They did eventually find the hook & to celebrate the park not being taken over by pirates he took all the of the kids on the tour (I’d say maybe 10-12?) to Philharmagic. People in the park just stared at our lucky group skipping their way to Philharmagic. Peter sat with all the kids in the front row & yelled at the screen through the show…It was awesome. My kids felt so special. Peter handed out certificates to say we helped in keeping the park safe from pirates. The tour was $100 & worth every penny. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a different view on the MK , a special treat for their kids and who likes to act silly.

After this fun tour we chose Pinocchio Haus to have lunch in..big mistake..it was Sunday afternoon at lunchtime (we hadn’t eaten breakfast & with all that running around at the tour we were starved) . It was super packed & I lost my ds for a few minutes in the chaos. I had a white trash meltdown right there at the table until I saw my Dh bringing him back from with in the crowd. Daniel thought he could go help Daddy get the food but didn’t tell either of us that he was going. After all was o.k. & everyone calmed down we choked down our food & went off to Epcot for the rest of our day. Epcot was crowded too now as this being Columbus day weekend but Epcot handles crowds better than MK. My kids got to ride in front of the monorail which was another “first” for our trip. Since we have been lucky enough to come to Disneyworld many times it is nice to find new things to make each trip special & different. The kids got quite a kick out of being up front. Once at Epcot we went back to Innoventions so the kids could make their own paper & their own robots..The robots were another big hit with the kids. Played some video games. Another game of “Where’s the Fire?” & we were off to our adr at Le Cellier for a 5pm dinner. We waited awhile for our seat but were greeted by our friendly server Claude ( I think that was his name?). The breadsticks were good especially the pretzel ones. We asked for more. The chocolate raspberry milkshake & berry smoothies were awesome. The cheese soap was jut o.k.…wasn’t sure why people raved about it. Since it was 95 degrees I guess I just wasn’t in the soup mood! Ha! Then came the appetizer cheese plate..delicious! Dh had the filet with mashed cream cheese potatoes. I had the filet mignon with white truffle, fried parsnips, & risotto. OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The kids had (of course) chicken nuggets. DH also had a “Toronto - mapolitan” Nice drink, sweet & you don’t taste the alcohol. The kids got the chocolate mouse which was so cute. Dh got the raspberry sorbet (yummy) & I got the chocolate whiskey cake with orange sauce..would have been better with raspberry sauce but good. The meal was very leisurely & there was some time between courses but we enjoyed it. I think it took about 2 hours. This was a wonderful meal to end our time at Disney. The bill came to $160 & boy was I glad we were on the dining plan for this one! Due to good service we gave extra for the tip.

We walked around WS a little more & then over to the beach club/ boardwalk area for a stroll. Also got in some more shopping at POR’s store (more pins!!!) The kids went to bed & I & DH packed…boohoo.

On the 10th we got our things together, ate at POR food court, got 13 rice crispy treats to go (with remaining snack credits) & took the ME back to the airport. Back to NY! Showers & bedtime as the kids had school the next day.

So ends another wonderful (over planned) Disney trip. My final thoughts are…

::MickeyMo Parks were crowded but manageable if you used fast pass & a good plan.

::MickeyMo Food plan was great & we were stuffed, hope they offer this deal again however I wouldn’t purchase it as my oldest will be 10 the next time we go & she doesn’t eat $35 worth of food in a day.

::MickeyMo Glad I packed my ponchos as it rained everyday.

::MickeyMo Next time I must plan more “down/relax” time for us. The “commando” thing gets tough when you are there so long with 3 kids. More time & some late wakeups would help ease the overload.

I will try to post pictures..I have a film camera & an old scanner so the pictures take awhile to upload into the pc.

Thanks for reading my trip report...o.k. now I have to start planning our next trip!!! :wave2:

What a fun way to end your trip - I have done the Family Magic Tour and my daughter now 14 still talks about it - she was 6 or 7 when we did it and I agree it was a blast - thanks for posting!
