Day 8- Friday

Well the crew actually got to sleep in a little this morning. Our PS for the Princess breakfast at Akersaus was at 9:00am.

Pan was still stuck on his "Character breakfast baaaaad. Character Lunch goooood."

DN left ahead of the group to go to the Kennel Club near MK to pick up some lost sunglasses.

Everyone met in Norway. Before the food arrived B.Wen got fussy so Tink took her outside. She never came back to breakfast.

Our waitress was very sweet. She brought out our family style breakfast. There were a variety of sweet rolls, danish and fruit. Then scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns etc.. Everything was very good.

The kids got to see Snow White, Aurora, Mulan, Belle, and Jasmine. They were soooo excited. Snow White put a big kiss on B.Snows forehead and left a bright lipstick smack on her head. It is sooo cute in the pictures. She really enjoyed herself to be just 7 mos old. Lil'hook told them it was his b-day and he rec'd a special certificate signed by the princesses.

Now I have to interject here that when Pan and Grumpy saw Jasmine they started drooling and made a few comments about how they wanted THEIR picture with her. Now it was pretty harmless- they are boys and this silliness has never bothered me before. But now it involved my DDs' Disney heroine. I went off on those boys in a loud whisper and shamed them both to the tips of their toes. I don't remember every word, but it went something like this-
That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard in my life. It's almost sacreligious! That is your children's disney princess from one of their favorite movies- wholesome and pure- and it is filthy that you would make any comments like that. Thank God the kids did not hear you. (they were at the table next to us.) You're like a couple of old perverts and I just won't have it. Don't either of you ever say anything about one of these princesses again!! EVER!!! That poor girl! I can't imagine trying to charm little children and smile and be pleasant and have to deal with perverts like you at the same time. Don't ever do it again.

At this point they both tried to say something but I was having none of it. And for the first (and probably the last) time they backed down and let me make my point.

Looking back it is really funny. They really meant no harm and would never have said or done anything to make Jasmine uncomfortable. I don't know why I had such an immediate intense reaction, except that in my mind it was a violation of my little girls' fairy tales. And that was unacceptable to me. Anyway I don't think I'll have to worry about that again.

Pan asked our waitress if he could have a box to bring Tink some danish since she had to leave with their baby. She did better than that. She brought him a box FULL of danish and took Tink off his bill. He argued and told her that she did not have to do that, but she insisted, since Tink did not have one bite of food.

Now it was time for the TOUR of BEER. Grumpy's favorite part of the trip. A beer in every country. We made our way to Canada with a brief stop for the Character Caravan. (Tons of Characters!)

We had to go on to the UK since Canada was not serving beer yet. We watched the street performers. They were really good. They guys had a beer, the rest of us shared some "chips" and shopped. The kids started masks. Grumpy ran back to Canada to grab 2 beers for him and Pan. He could not skip a country!!!

FRANCE- We strolled and shopped. The kids got to see Belle and Beast. Belle signs his autograph for him. The kids added to their masks. The guys had their French beer.

MOROCCO-The musicians were playing and the belly dancer was dancing. Grumpy commented on the belly dancer and looked at DN for reproach. DN told him "She is not one of my girls' Disney characters, so look all you want". We all laughed. Pan could not do the Morrocan beer, Grumpy was disappointed but continued on the quest alone. Tink and DN had baklava and daquiri's. The orange was soooo delicious, but it was also very very sweet. You could only drink about 1/2 before it was just too sweet.

JAPAN- Grumpy got to see his drummers perform while he enjoyed his Japanese beer (this beer is his least favorite of the showcase-but hey when you're on a quest what can you do??). The kids worked on masks while the DN and Tink shopped.

AMERICAN ADVENTURE- We saw Vibe(singing group). We sat on the floor and B. Snow sang and danced and jumped up and down the whole time. I think this was her favorite part of the whole trip. They really were excellent. We then watched the movie (except Tink, she wasn't interested). Grumpy found a good ole American beer and we made our way into Italy.

ITALY-We shopped a bit. Tink found a Mardi Gras masque and had them ship it home. The kids found a few bare spots on their masks to embellish. Grumpy found an Italian beer and watched the street performance and the rest of us shopped some more.

GERMANY-Grumpy continued on his quest alone. We shopped. DN found a wonderful set of Snow white and dwarfs ornaments but they were just too pricey. So she opted for a big piece of Fudge. Delicious!!!

The kids stopped at the play area for a bit. This was new since we were here last and it got a thumbs up from all 3 kids.

CHINA- Jas really regretted that she had spent all her souvenir $ plus some. She wanted the set of sticks where you juggle 1 stick with the other 2 and don't let it hit the ground. So she vowed to start saving her $ for next time. Grumpy had a Chinese beer. Tink and Pan shared an Eggroll and then we shopped while the kids worked on their masks. (Do you see a pattern here?) When I say shopped- mostly I mean window shopped. In China, Tink was really interested in buying a short Mandarin dress. It was really pretty, but lil'hook came in at that point and proceeded to get himself in trouble, so the dress was left behind.

NORWAY- We had to rush past to make our PS at San Angel in Mexico. Grumpy could not fail in his quest, so he grabbed a Norwegian beer on his way past.

MEXICO- We shopped in the little market while we waited for our PS at San Angel. This is our favorite restaurant in all of WDW. We started with Queso Fundito, yummy cheeses with chorizo (spicy mexican sausage) in a hot skillet, served with flour tortillas. DN had a strawberry margarita. Delicious!!! Pan and Grumpy had steaks, DN had cheese enchiladas, Tink shared with lil'hook. Everything was soooo good!! And Grumpy finished the Quest!!!

Tink and Pan wanted to head back to the room, so they took B. Wen and the rest of the group including lil'hook went to ride Maelstrom. In line Grumpy and Ariel were playing like idiots and she bit him on the arm and lost her front tooth. She was really mad at him for a minute until DN pointed out that now the tooth fairy would visit her at WDW. With the tooth safely tucked away we rode Maelstrom. We skipped the movie and made our way out of the park stopping to let the kids play in the water area.

That night the tooth fairy left Ariel $2 and a stuffed Minnie Mouse dressed as a Viking from Norway!!

I love your reports......thanks for sharing!
