Today was our PS at Cinderella's Royal Table! DH and DS2 had never done this, so DD7 and I were anxious to 'show it off.' After we arrived, we waited downstairs for them to call our name...it cracked me up that when they did call a family's name, the family would all cheer and jump up and down like they'd just won the lottery!! I figured all that celebration stuff happened when they got the PS, but no, they were STILL celebrating when their time arrived to be seated! DD7 talked to the Fairy Godmother and got her autograph and the Fairy Godmother was soooo sweet! She told us that she couldn't write her name with DD7's pen, b/c it ran out of ink...DD7 had told her that she JUST bought the pen, (it was a WDW one), so the Fairy told us to go to the souvenir shop next door and trade the pen out for one that worked "because she said so." In the meantime, she lent DD7 a pen to take upstairs to get all the princesses' autographs!
I love this breakfast. I think the food is great, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is sooo special. We saw Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Prince Charming, Belle and Snow White. I got pics of the kids with the princesses...I noticed that DH was not impressed enough, so I reminded him he should be saying, "oooooh!" and "aahhhhh!" and praising me for getting the PS...he did better after that.
DD7 returned Fairy's pen afterwards, and we traded out her pen just like the Fairy ordered. She was so sweet to DD7, she gave her a handful of 'fairy dust' when we left that DD7 clutched in her pockets the rest of the day!
Fantasyland was packed to the gills already, so we headed to Adventureland and rode Pirates and Aladdin's Magic Carpets. Then we met Kim and Jason one last time by the Teacups. We tried to ride the Barnstormer, but it got stuck while we were in line and the CM's shooed everyone away while they plucked the people out of the stuck cars on top of the hill!! Yikes! So we rode the People Mover again and then the Railroad. Kim's 2 children had some cool Buzz and Woody toys that my DS2 was fighting them over, so I made a bonzai run to the gift shop in Tomorrowland to see if I could buy him something similar...I got a Buzz and a Woody, which DS was thrilled about, then we noticed that the Buzz had broken wings! We can't have that! If DS2 noticed that Buzz couldn't really fly, he would be traumatized! So I returned him and got my money back. We parted with Kim and Jason, with hugs all around and wishes for everyone to have a safe trip back home. It was really neat meeting her and her family. Our kids were so close in age and temperment they played really well together...except when my DS2 wanted to rip their Buzz and Woody toys out of their hands!
We ate lunch at Cosmic Ray's on the comments of practically everyone on this board...it was GREAT! Good hot food, and not too expensive, and a HUGE place so there's plenty of room. We actually ate there 3 times this week, we liked it so much (the cheesesteak sub rocks!!). While we were there, we were deciding what we wanted and DH was standing in the line for chicken...I had decided to take DD7 over to the cheesesteak line, when DH BELLOWS at me...he yelled my name SOOOO loud, I just knew that the side of the building I was heading to, had just burst into flames. That MUST be the only reason he would yell so loud! And in public!! I walked back to him, alarmed...he asked me, "Are you going to get DS's fries?" I could've clobbered him right then and there! He said he bellowed b/c he didn't want to run after me, he would lose his place in line! He has practically no social skills.
We went back to the hotel and swam for an hour or so. We had only swam one other day, that first day at the Poly. We got some dinner at the Food Court and I dawdled for as long as I could in the gift shop...DH was waiting in the van for me by this time. He was patient, though, so I nearly forgave him for yelling at me earlier. I slowly and painfully said by final goodbyes to the park and the hotel, and we drove off....
