Now I like having my own personal pool as well as anyone but you just can't keep the kids out of it and once they get in, it's like pulling teeth to get them out. This time they stay in the pool pretty much all day. After getting up early and giving up again, I go back to bed.
That night we do the Arabian Knights show. Excelent as always (except for the food). This time they even had the "special guest". I don't remember his name but he has a funny skit where both he and the horse gets drunk and fight over the sleeping blanket.
The only thing I have against this show is that it should not have food. Some of the food isn't bad (it was actually better this year) but in order to get anything, you have to BEG for it if you can get it at all. For the salad they only had one kind of dressing (creammy ranch) which my son won't eat so that was wasted. Then you can't even get ketchup for the chicken (and you know kids.. they just won't eat without it). Last year, I begged until they got me some steak sauce for my "steak" which was very fatty. He came back with a single packet of sauce. This year I couldn't even get ketchup.
Everyone still felt pretty good afterwards so we headed over to DtD where the boys found some pirate swords. Later Justin and me snuck away and went to Disney Quest. We had to sneak away since my nephew didn't have a ticket and it wasn't worth $30 for 2 hours of video games.
After cutting through PI we finally arrived and DQ wasn't very crowded. We were able to hit all the stuff we missed last year. I have to say that the "Pirates of the Carribena: Pirate Gold" was a GREAT VR experience(we had a good team and beat it). Both my son and I loved it. My second favorite was the Alien VR thing where you piolit a "space rescue hopper", I was the piolt, my son was the gunner beside me, and we had two other gunners. We beat that one as well. My third favorite was the flying carpet ride. I liked it but never really got the hang of it. I couldn't make it manuver where I wanted it.
The two dead last VR's was the comic book thing with the "light sabers" and the rapids. All you do in the comic book one is swing a light saber back and forth. I got first place but my wrists were tired and I was sweating like a hog by the end. Not a very fun VR as all you can do is swing back and forth. It would have been much better with guns or something. The Rapids VR thing was just as annoying, more like a workout at a new age gym than something fun.
We then hit a few more games, did a little pin trading and left. Upon arriving home, I forced the kids past the pool and into bed; This time with a FIRM warning that we WOULD be getting up EARLY to do EPCOT and MGM.
Stay tuned for day 5 "Split up from the party poopers to have fun"
