Day 1 of 6 : I thought there would have been snow!
Day 2 of 6 : Oh there it is
Day 3 of 6 : Ooooo look at the pretty snow
Day 4 of 6 : OMG the snow is still there
Wednesday
Another early start again today, we had breakfast booked for 8.30am in our hotel. We really should have got up earlier and enjoyed more of the EMH but we loved our warm snugly beds at NPB and have you seen how cold it was outside.
For those people who thought we have been exagerating about how cold it was.
We arrived at Disneyland Gates at 9.30am (EMH nearly gone). Instead of heading into the parks we used our Shareholder card and visited Salon Mickey for the first time, mainly because we were enjoying ourselves so much we forgot all about it. We had a lovely cup of hot chocolate (didnt have any pastries as just finished breakfast) Josh had some fresh orange juice and we took in the ambience. Chilled and warmed it was time to be off for another busy day in the parks.
Does this look like fewer people today.
Look at the beautiful blue skies
We headed for the Spinning Tea Cups first (which we did twice as there was no queue), then it was onto the Carousel where again there was no queue.
Do you think Josh likes the Carousel (or the merry go round as he calls it).
We couldnt do Fantasyland without Joshs favourite favourite ride Its a Small World. When we came to get off Small World we were told we could go around again, so I got back on followed by Tracey, we both looked at each other and realised Josh wasnt there, a parents worst nightmare. They were holding the boat while Josh was quite happily looking at the snow through the fence at the exit side of the boat. So after some shouting and a sudden realisation from Josh that we werent next to him, he dived on the boat and we were off for another cruise through the ever so disturbing ride of talking dolls. We then headed to Big Thunder Mountain (which Josh was tall enough to ride this time) there was only a 10 minute wait, he liked it apart from the dark bits (which we couldnt understand as he is definitely not afraid of the dark, unless its on a day when he says he is) he even managed to put his hands in the air when we turned corners, Tracey didnt which he will not let her forget.
Next we did the Riverboat (which was all in French, so we just took in the scenery) although it should have been called the Ice Breaker as the ice was unbelievable. They seemed to be constantly spreading salt and scraping ice but the deck was pretty slippery.
Look at the ice!
Just in case you don't believe me, take a closer look.
The sun was out a the sky was blue and couldn't resist just snapping away.
Someone could have at least brushed the snow off the hillbilly and his dog.
Just couldn't not post these two.
Next stop was Haunted Mansion (I wasnt sure about Josh going on this But he seemed okay), I think the build up to the ride scared him more than the actual ride and we had to stop and watch The Bride at the exit to the ride so he could heat what she was saying.
Next we wanted somewhere warmish so we headed for Le Passage de Aladdin which Josh loved last time he didnt seem too bothered about it this time.
Came out of there and caught the castle from another angle.
Then it was off to the DISboards meet outside Its a Small World at 1 oclock. We met up with Tracey and her family and Emma and Kyra we had to ride Its a Small World together then had a group photo.
So pleased it wasn't just me at the meet.
While at the meet Josh suddenly discovered the snow.
