After lunch at Peco Bills, the rain started to calm down, so we walked over to check on the times for FPs at Splash and BTMR. We were planning to go back to get into our rooms at WL, since we hadn't seen our rooms yet. All of the FPs were for times we weren't planning to be there. So we walked over to Haunted Mansion and got FPs for 2:00. A 70 minute standby wait!!! YIKES. We went and did Pirates of the Caribbean and goofy me sang, "Yo Ho, Yo Ho A Pirates Life for me" until DD bopped me!
We walked right on this ride. Jungle Cruise was an hour wait and wrong time for FPs too. I think this line was really quick the last time in the middle of the day. What did it need FPs for????
We did Tikki Birds, which I had never seen. This song kind of surrounded us wherever we went for the rest of the trip! In the Tikki Tikki Tikki Tikki Room !!!
I really liked it, but I was the only one. As you can kind of tell, I'm really the only true Disney Freak in the entire family. This really depressed me by the end of the trip. No one else seemed to be as into it, and I felt rather alone.
We then went to HM and used our FP's. We did an intense Hidden Mickey search in here, since we knew nothing about them on our last trip, and DD and I thought that was a lot of fun. After this we went and got 6:30 FPs for Splash and decided to go back to WL.
We took the boat launch back and saw the magnificence of this place from the water. (The GF looked pretty wonderful too ). We went to the desks to find out what our room number and was told 6022 and 6024. Top floor MK side-just what I requested!!! Maybe it wouldn't seem so bad after HRH. 3rd mishap-Not connecting
. I had stressed that was my most important request and the others didn't matter as much. We called down to the front dest and were told that we had requested adjoining (not true), but would we like to switch our rooms? I asked to where and they said 4th floor Courtyard!!! I made sure that they would not charge any more and then jumped!!! What a thrill!!! Oh wait, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. UGH. One more day of living out of a suitcase. I need to unpack when I'm on vacation. I hate reaching down into a crowded suitcase to find things. Well we really couldn't pass this up and truly need connecting since we basically live together on a trip. So one more day of digging
We freshened up and had a quick bite in the snack bar, where we bought our refillables, and took the boat back to MK for the night. The magic was kicking in full force now and everyone was in such a good mood! Splash. Mtn. is so purely Disney!! Everyone was laughing and joking (except 19 year old
). We got 8:40 FPs for BTMR and headed back over to Tomorrow Land. The kids wanted to do the Race Cars which I hate, so they went and waited in the awful line and DF and I went and did Alien, since I was watching the boys during this morning's fiasco. I actually laughed myself silly during this, especially when the alien reaches out and touches your head. It's so clever, and I see the magic in all of this stuff-it just makes me silly!
By the time they came off, it was time to head over to BTMR. This has to be my favorite!! It's fast, not scary and a pleasure to look at. AND, we finally got to do it at night! We all were feeling like Mickey Mouse by now!!!
We parked ourselves under a nice tree in Frontierland, got some ice cream and waited about 20 minutes for Spectromagic to come by. I had seen a rain shortened version of The Electrical Parade, so I thought Spectomagic was wonderful and so much better! How beautiful!
We then went to what we thought was a good spot for the fireworks on the bridge between LS and the Castle, but the trees completely obstructed them! We tried to move toward the castle but it was gridlock by then. We did however, have a perfect spot to view Tinkerbells Flight. IT'S A REAL PERSON!!!!! That's nuts!! I couldn't believe it! My stomach was in my knees watching her! She must get paid a fortune .
We headed out with the masses and got in what looked like a very long line to take the boat back to the WL. We really only had to wait one boat, about 10 minutes. They do a terrific job of getting a lot of boats over there. Remember this is the end of June and it may not be so fast in the off season.
The boat ride was yummy and we sacked out very quickly. A quiet ending to a magical day-even with the mishaps !
Conclusion: Tinkerbell is INSANE!!! and no matter what the mishap, MK will cure it!
