The weather was much better today - no humidity and about 10 degrees cooler!!:thumbsup2

I was a bit bummed because I got outvoted this morning. Nobody would get out of bed and I heard something about "drill sergeant" :lmao: Sheesh, I just wanted to beat the crowds! Turns out that wasn't a problem.

This time, we started out at IOA. DH decided that since he had only been awake for 30 minutes, he didn't want to start out with the Hulk and DD 10 wanted nothing to do with it because of the noise (she normally likes thrill rides) :confused3

So, we went to Seuss Landing and had A LOT more fun than I thought we would! To be honest, I had planned on skipping this area. I might have if the lines were long but there was nobody in the whole area! We all enjoyed the 3 rides.

Off to Pteranodon Flyers. DD 6 loves dinos and pterodactyls are one of her favorites so I was shocked when she said day 1 she wouldn't do them. We did the ski lift at Blizzard Beach. I told her this was the same and she agreed. Turns out she was only one short enough to ride so she went 3 times so she could take each of us for a ride. It was a nice ride! and luckily a walk on when we were there. Couldn't talk her into the River Ride again though :(

Next was Dueling Dragons - DD 10 hadn't seen it yet so there was no fear of it like Hulk. 6 year old bought a dino toy after the dino area so she and I played with that while they (walked on!) to Dueling Dragons. They both said it was OK but made them dizzy. They were last row so that probably had something to do with it?

We explored Discovery Center. It was nice. The girls got to watch a dino baby hatch. 6 year old raised her hand to name it (Stripes) and got a certificate and 6 express passes for the day good at either park! Awesome that they are still sitting in my pocket as we never ran into a line all day :)

We then went Mythos for lunch. I thought we would do counter service so hadn't read a thing about it but DH said it had earned all kinds of awards. I was very surprised because I planned the whole trip. I didn't think he even knew there were 2 separate parks and here he knew where to have lunch. Turns out he read the sign above it when we had walked by it earlier in the day LOL. It was an amazing lunch! Well worth the money - the food was great as was the waiter, the building, the view and the atmosphere!

After lunch, we visited the wishing well - the girls laughed and laughed. We were the only ones there so they got lots of attention. Back through Seuss Landing to let food digest - did the train ride again (no wait) and then the girls played in the play area - neat things down there! I am glad DD saw it from the train ride. It was something I didn't really know about thinking that area would be too young for them but turned into a nice after lunch break!

Spiderman was up next. Great ride! 6 year old didn't like it right after but now says she would ride it again. 10 yr old and DH did Hulk and both enjoyed. Attendant at Hulk told 6 yr old and I all about the ball area in Curious George while we were waiting for them to ride (no people around!). Again, something that I didn't even bother thinking about doing because I thought the girls were too old but all 4 of us had a great time blasting each other with balls!!

So .... off to US. We saw that Madagascar was only 10 minutes to arrival so got in line since 6 yr old loves them. Is it just me or is US 10 degrees hotter than IOA? More concrete? less trees??? ok .. back to my day. Next was ET. Fun ride - different than what I thought it would be but fun. Neat how they say your name. Woody coaster was fun too and then we hit the ball zone.

DD 10 then wanted Disaster and Twister but 6 year old REFUSED (clenching fists and all, goodness!) Disaster's next show was 30 minutes out so 10 yr old and DH went to Twister, 6 yr old and I went to Jimmy Neutron for another round of the chicken dance. Both turned out to be the same exact time!

We were at the parks from about 10 to 4. 10 year old wanted to come home and go to the community pool and swim after dinner. Instead, she feel asleep at 7:00!

Sounds like a very nice day. Isn't it fun when you have the run of the parks?

My wife and I are Grandparents and we still go on the Cat In The Hat ride and The Sneetch train whenever we go to IOA. Never got to go on the Pteradon Flyers because my kids weighed too much but we have grandchildren coming over from England next March so we may finally get our chance.

thanks for the report! Next time in Orlando we are definitely going to go to Universal and IOA.
