Oct. 30th
Bright and early (8:00am) the phone rings and Stitch
wakes me from a peaceful dream, where food doesnt
have calories and Disney World was my hometown.
Out we go for a morning walk and breakfast at Old
Port Royale, which was very busy. The food is decent
and quick, perfect for us, as we cant wait to check
into the Boardwalk and meet our friends.
RING RING- speaking of friends, its Meggin on my
cell phone, they are at Newark Airport and are taking
of on time, and they should arrive by 2:00pm.
We pack up, check out, pack up the car and
make our way to the Boardwalk.
We made a quick stop at Winn Dixie for
bottled water, fruit and some drinks
for the room. It is a nice
convenience when you have a full fridge. I still cant
believe how cheap the grocerys are in Florida,
compared to Northern New Jersey.
I know the Disney roads like the back of my hand and my
anticipation grows as we turn left on Epcot Resorts Blvd
and see the gleaming BOARDWALK sign.
The valet graciously takes our car and we head to check
in. Since it is so early in the AM, I dont expect our room
to be ready, so we head to the Animal Kingdom for our
first park visit of the trip.
Normally, I would head to the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT,
but wanted to try something different this time.
Boy was I right!!
No one was in the park, it was so empty,
we road DINASOUR 3 times in a row without waiting on line.
Enjoyed a wonderful and tasty lunch at the
Flame Tree BBQ, which was fantastic and
went right to Kilamanjaro Safari after lunch,
then onto the Lion King show. We sat in the Lion Section.
Just walking through the parks taking in the music,
sites and smells is all I need to enjoy my trip
(well almost)!
RING RING- the Sabs have arrived and are on
their way to the Dolphin! YEAH.
Let the good times roll!!
We were assigned Room 3099 at the BWV
(we rented points from a friend) and even
though we had a view of the parking lot,
it was still a great room!
DH and I took some time to check out the health
club Muscles and Bustles and exercised for about
an hour before getting ready to meet the
Sabs and have dinner.
Being that the Sabs were so close at the Dolphin,
we met at the Swan/Dolphin boat dock and headed over to
MGM for dinner together. The boat ride was wonderfully
relaxing and we got details of Baby Vincents first
plane ride! He did great!!
Dinner at the Prime Time Café was wonderful.
Three of us had the pot roast and one had the fried chicken.
Our waiter Richard was a delight and he made sure that
we enjoyed ourselves with jokes and he even sat down
with us for a while and fed Vincent.
My perfect planning had come in handy again,
as it was Extra Magic Hour for MGM, so we enjoyed
the sites and sounds of MGM for the evening. I am
a big fan of the Extra Magic Hour- as I enjoy
that special privilege.
We rode RNR, Little Mermaid, The Great Movie Ride
and Star Wars.
Took the boat back to the Beach
Club and all shared some ice cream before bed.
Tomorrow is Halloween and our first trip to the
EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
