Day 16 - Galactic Hero and a Cruise to remember.
Sunday 21st July 2002.

Cast:
Me- Morven (aka Undylad)
Suzanne – DW
Kerri – DD (7)
Liam – DS (5) - the chicken strip eater.

No problems getting everyone out the door this morning after another in-room breakfast.

We were being a bit more organised today for a change. :)
Off to MK first for 09:30. Liam had bought one of the Mickey mouse handheld video games that had to have each game activated by going to the ride entrances. First stop, was at Liam’s request - Indy Speedway, which was a walk-on at this early hour…yes!! Next, we revisited Buzz Lightyear, when Suzanne managed to score 999,999 before then end of the ride. She is a Galactic Hero now, you know. ;) Certainly made her day. We split up while the troops did the Teacups, IASW and Peter Pan, I went to get FP for thunder Mountain. After Thunder mountain, we grabbed FP for Splash Mountain and we passed our time by going to the Country Bear Jamboree. Not the best part of MK in our humble option. Kerri did not want to go on Splash Mountain, so Liam rode it twice. I finally got round to going to the Haunted Mansion, we all enjoyed it, even the kids did ….I think. :)

Time to head back to the AS Movies. We arrived by luck at the top of Main Street to catch the start of Cinderella’s Surprise Celebration. Wow! What a great show for the children (big and small). After the show we managed to get a lot of photos and autographs with the characters that spill of the stage at the end of the show.

We headed back for some serious pool time but the clouds had been building so by the time we got back to the hotel the thunderstorm had kicked off. The pools were closed, so we chilled in the room instead. Dinner was at the FC and Liam continued on his run of Chicken Strips.

We went to DTD to get a connecting bus to Boardwalk. We checked out the new toy shop ”Once upon a toy”. It was very nice, will need to revisit. Time to head to the Boardwalk, we don’t want to be late……

We met Jessie2 (Jane, Mike and family) and Becky and family outside the ESPN on the Boardwalk. We all were wondering if we would recognise each other?? Are we waiting in the right place? We should not have worried. Jeff was out cruise captain for the night. Jeff took us up the canal network to the Disney MGM Studios and then back to the edge of the main lagoon at Epcot, where we moored the boat to watch the main event. It was great way to see Reflections of Earth, even if the wind caused the smoke for the fireworks to hide some of the fountain effects. Jeff kept us all amused with his jokes and Disney trivia quiz.

All in all, a great night with great company. :bounce:

We headed back via MK to get our connecting bus. Whilst we waited for our bus, we were treated to the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks. When back at the AS Movies it was straight be bed at 11:30 pm.

Tomorrow – It’s a wet day, very wet!
