Up at 6.30am for early entry at Magic Kingdom. We arrived before the park was open for early entry, after a 10 minute wait we were in, headed straight to Winnie the Pooh ride and walked straight on and had a bounce with Tigger which was nice. Then we went on Peter Pan, the teacups, Snow White. I had been at early entry before at the Magic Kingdom on previous trips and had never encountered crowds like this. Joined the huddle waiting for the rope drop into Liberty Square and went straight over to Splash Mountain, got the back seats so we only had a little splash. It was really busy now and I was hungry so we went over to the bakery in Main Street where I got some banana loaf for breakfast and a ham baguette for elevenses at 9.20am and Tricia got a cinnamon muffin. After the banana loaf I realised I wasn’t as hungry as I first thought so I put the baguette in the bag and would have it later.
We left the Magic Kingdom at 10am and got a bus to the Swan hotel then walked over to Fantasia Gardens. I’m sure I felt the ground shake as I approached (it must have remembered me from last year). Paid for a round on the fantasia course and bought some water and set off with our two golf clubs and three balls (we have a habit of losing them). I didn’t start off to well, what was worse was Tricia was doing great!!! Everything soon returned to normal and Tricia lost her skillful start and luck took over with me (if you had seen me play you would know it wasn’t skill). As expected I lost my ball in a bush but worry not we had a spare. Tricia didn’t lose hers at all. As I past the lake I reminisced about going in it last year to retrieve my ball. At one point in the course I took my turn and the child who was with the group in front of us picked up my ball, she thought it was her mum’s. I had to take my shot again and got a hole in one!!! Cool eh! Once the course was completed I added up the scores and I had beaten Tricia by 4 points. We debated playing the gardens course but decided it was way too hot and we would just go back to the resort. Walked back over to the Swan and went into the Dolphin to use the bathroom and I have to say they use a beautiful air freshener, I really like it. Had a look around Dolphin and thought it was very nice, went outside to wait for boat to MGM and I sat down to start eating my baguette. I had just taken my first bite when the boat arrived so I had to put it away again. Once at MGM we got the bus back to the Caribbean Beach and went down to my Jamaica beach with my Harry Potter book, Tricia was reading a James Patterson book.
There was a nice breeze blowing my hammock but it was still mega hot and I fell asleep. When I woke up I had a paddle in the water and then got myself a chair to sit on, I figured if I wasn’t as comfortable then I might stay awake. Tricia finished her book and said she was going to the food court to get some drinks. I asked her to get me a banana and peanut M&M’s. Not long after she left the CM’s from the boat yard put on a tremendous side show. There were two male CM’s out in the patrol boats and a few female CM’s and a couple of lifeguards in a pontoon boat and they were throwing water balloons at each other. It was hilarious to watch, everyone on the beach (myself and the 3 others) were watching and laughing, I thought it was nice to see people happy at work, it’s the kind of thing I would do. Tricia returned about 45 minutes later with drinks, my banana, my melted peanut M&M’s, a keyring, a pen and a photo album!!! How this took her 45 minutes I do not know. I told her about the side show she had missed and she said she saw some of it from the bridge. We returned to the room after I drank my M&M’s (they were that melted) and ate my banana. The housekeeper had made some rabbits today and put the soft toys in the window.
Went to Epcot about 4.30pm,entered the park, walked straight through to International Gateway and out again. Walked along to Beaches and Cream and got a Milky way sundae for dinner and milkshakes. Managed to eat a third of the sundae and had to bin the rest, it was too sweet, beautiful but a bit sickly after a while. Sat on the swing seat on the Yacht/ Beach Club beach and watched for the Epcot boat coming and then raced it to the park. We won!!! Entered the park again and went to the show in Canada. Hadn’t seen this before and really enjoyed it, Canada looks like a beautiful country. After the Canada show we went into Mouse Gears and I looked at my luggage trolley thing again. Decided I didn’t need one and left the shop, well after I spent $96 on other things I left.
Got a spot on the bridge at Morocco for Illuminations which was brilliant as usual and then returned to resort.
Got chatting to some American’s on the bus. They asked if we were Scottish, I thought they must be physic as neither of us had spoke but Tricia was wearing a top that said Scotland on it. They were really interested in hearing about our country and asked if we had seen Braveheart, we said we had and he said, “Is it true that Braveheart is a true story?”!!! He also tried out his Scottish accent on us. I tried to teach him Gonnae naw dae that but he didn’t have a clue as too anything I said. They understood Tricia but not me.
When we got back to resort we went to the food court for drinks and some pizza, my Milky way sundae dinner wasn’t filling enough. Got some hot chocolate and took it with me for a swim in my Jamaica pool. That was the first time I have been swimming complete with a cup of hot chocolate.Another new experience for me, YIPPEE!!!
Went to bed at 11.30pm to watch Everybody Loves Raymond.

A fun day for all - and a hot chocolate by the pool sounds good too - thanks for posting!
